![]() ![]() ![]() | Wireless network helpHey, I'm trying to get a mates laptop to connect to mine using a wireless ad-hoc network. I'm connected to the internet via an ethernet cable, I've created a wireless ad-hoc network and my friends laptop is connecting to the network but the internet is still not working. I've done this before but it won't work this time for some reason. Tried looking it up on the internet but no luck. If it makes a difference, when I took my laptop over to my friends, my laptop worked via an ad-hoc wireless network. Just won't work the other way this time! Any help much appreciated Rep and thanks to anyone who replies Cheers

![]() ![]() | Re: Wireless network helpAre you sure you've got the internet connection setup to allow it to be shared. Or it could be a permissions problem. |

![]() ![]() ![]() | Re: Wireless network helpTo add, I think it's a small setting I need to change on my friends laptop because it doesn't seem to connect to other wireless ad-hoc networks either. Just can't find the setting

![]() | Re: Wireless network helpWhy not just put your Ethernet cable into your friend’s laptop, and you join via wireless, like you said you did before. (Won’t be hard with it being 2 laptops, and not full computers) Doesn’t really work out why it’s not working, but it should work that way
