Ever considered an automated conga system?

Hey,

I'm not sure if this has ever been brought up before, but don't you think that an automated conga system would make much more sense?

It wouldn't be hard to do, and it'd speed things up and solve any problems with users accusing other users of lying (look at the FreePay congas forum for an example of this, can't remember which conga it was though!)

How would you make sure that the offer has been done tho? This would require the networks to chip in as well..

Re: Ever considered an automated conga system?

Great idea, but how would it work? How would the system know that the people have in fact gone green, it wouldn't be able to log in and check their account, surely.

EDIT: Omairt beat me to it.

People who were at top could lie saying they had not recieved greens when they had, people could lie and say they have goen green when they havnt, people could lie and say their friends were the first to go green for the conga when in fact it was someone else

While things may take longer, congas really do need a humam element when updating them

Perhaps a semi-automated system then? i.e. Have buttons saying "I have signed up under user 1", "I have gone green" and "I can confirm user 2 has gone green".

Then again, not much point as it'd still need human input, which would defeat the object of it..

Meh

Aye, kinda like using a sledge hammer to put in a picture hook.

The current way, so long as people do report the post when they feel the conga needs an update works well and congas are normally updated within half a day.
