Re: any computer builders out there?

I'm not sure if it would or not..
your better off buying one with some good base parts..

It only has a gig of ram, the sound/graphics card are terrible..
and the pentium D isnt too great

for £26 its not bad though..lol

Re: any computer builders out there?

Are you looking to buy the PC for gaming purposes?

If so, you'll definitely need at least another stick of 1GB DDR2 RAM, if hes got a Intel Duo CPU running at 6GHz, my guess is that he has overclocked the CPU and it doesnt look like he has much of a cooling system to go along with the overclocking (Id recommend keeping it well ventilated)

I've personally never heard of a QwE Socket 775 Motherboard, so i wouldnt be able to provide much advice of whether it will support the 8800GT, but seeing that it comes only with a poor Unichrome 128MB Memory graphics card, probably indicates that it wouldnt be able to handle a graphics card such as a 8800GT.

If your looking for a Gaming PC or just a PC with decent spec for as low as price as possible, i'd recommend these guys Ginger6 Ltd - Custom Built PC Base Units - 0871 230 7170

Hope this helps

Had a look and your talking bargain basement PC none of the parts have any named brands so your looking at a PC that has been built from the cheapest parts around and when it comes to memory HDD etc it's worth investing. After all who wants a PC that will crash every five minutes and in a couple weeks time it's HDD crap out on you and you loose everything.

As the old saying goes you get what you pay for!!! not the best saying for a freebie forum as we all plan on paying nothing

Re: any computer builders out there?

My advice is to stay away from the pc's there on ebay, they are crappy parts in my opinion

they saying its 9.6ghz because its quad core, they are taking 2.6ghz(the speed of each core) and multiplying it by the 4 cores to make it loook better to non suspecting people.

Whats your budget ?

Why so much? You can certainly get a good gaming PC for a lot less than that. =/

Re: any computer builders out there?

Its not a 9.6GHz.. its more like a 2.4GHz Quad core computer.. they just done it times 4 to make it look more powerful.. also, the max amount of memory you can have in that PC is 2GB and if you going to use Vista 4 GB is recommended.. to be honest with you, you would be better off building one yourself.. if you let us know what you want to spend maximum.. and if you need a monitor, keyboard and such.. or if it just the machine I am sure some of us will be able to help you out either finding a decent pre-build machine or list the components that you need..

Cheers
Tom

Edit: Darn I am to slow!

You can add an OS to that one, although it would make it cost £657.84.

That's for XP by the way, Vista Home Basic is about £1 more.

Sorry for the double post, whenever I tried to edit my last post, it just froze.
