Re: any computer builders out there?

Lol I have about 10 huge fans in there according to tests, It's better than water cooling, and has great airflow! (thanks to a CM Stacker case!)

I have ALOT of films and games and programs on my computer..thanks to a torrent addiction.. lol

anyway! enough about my computer though! help the man!

edit: Macs are terrible. they are just dumbed down pc's for people who dont like options and variation. Please don't degrade yourself to using one!

10 fans that's gotta kick out a bit of noise. Vapochil 1 fan -20 overlocked, silence is golden

the more fans, the slower they have to run! therefore more fans = less noise

also i have a flashy fan speed adjuster on the front to slow them down when im just on the web or something

You are either on drugs or you have never used a mac for sufficient time. Macs are designed so much better than that disgrace of windows which is all over the place. the gui of a mac rules, and they are so much quicker!

I used a mac extensively through college a couple of years ago and it was a horrible experiance i hope to never go through again.
Everything you can do on a mac, you can do on a pc, and with more options!

I just find macs are way too 'dumbed down' for my tastes.
I can understand using one if you're not computer savvy, and want to save yourself a headache, but otherwise imo you are limiting yourself.

I agree It's probably a bit quicker in terms of gui, but I'd rather have the flexibility of a pc than the speed of a mac..

True. some people on my course loved the macs, but eventually I just took stuff home to edit on premiere..

I don't mean to be an asshole about it, i'm just voicing my biased opinions!

lol you're not being an asshole, i agree with you that pcs are better for everything including video editing i just know my way round final cut and i would be able to leave the mac running on its own (compression) whilst i can do other stuff on the pc (games)

Hehe thats ok then! some people seem to get really offended when i say i dont like anything about macs..lol

yeah It's just the budget really..Your best bet is getting a macbook or a macbook air on a freebie site! hehe, you could use part of the PC budget to pay for enough refs!
