  | xbox 360 vga cable helphelp!!! i want to use my pc speakers for my xbox 360, obviously pc speakers have 3 cables (green, yellow and black) for 5.1 but the VGA cable has black and red, for plugging into TV audio i know that didnt make the most sence in the world, and im sure thereis a solution just asking or some friendly help  anyone?

| Re: xbox 360 vga cable helpEither use the headphones socket in the tv, and use the main speakers cable to plug in (I dont know about 5.1 cables, im a 2.1 guy). Or maybe use some sort of vga box, where you can plug in your xbox through composite cables, and then have a line out with vga, and also a headphones socket. That way you can play on your monitor aswel. Hope this helped in some way or another. |

| Re: xbox 360 vga cable helpLex he doesn't need a vga box. The VGA cable comes straight from the 360 to the monitor. The cable comes with a phono (red and white) to 3.5mm jack adaptor. You could just plug that into the line in on your computer. Or go to Maplin or somewhere like that and get a 3.5mm socket to socket adaptor, to connect the cable from the speakers to the cable coming from the 360. This way you wont need the PC on to hear the sound. You're not going to be able to get 5.1 sound this way, just stereo. The only way to get surround sound from the 360 is to use the optical output and plug it into an amp.

| Re: xbox 360 vga cable helpgood suggestion, i wasnt looking for 5.1 tbh, i just own 5.1 speakers lol, 2.1 is fine, anythings better then crappy monitor speakers!!
