| Re: 360 - 3 red lights flashingIve read that they dont require proof of purchase, just the serial number will do from that they will be able to tell if its still covered by the guarantee. If you do need to get it fixed i did read that they ask you to remove the hard drive incase it gets damaged and if its not simply fixable they will send you a whole replacement and might slip in a extra by mistake. But the main thing is to get it fixed, but just leave it for 24 hours and see if it sorts itself out...as electronics can be funny!

| Re: 360 - 3 red lights flashingiv had a similar problem, but had it since day one, my xbox 360 switchs on but no red lights and just simply sits there! i have to switch off and back on again a good 4- 5 times before the audio and visuals kick in, very strange i took off the hard drive and it starts up everytime, so i figured it was a hardware problem, called microsoft, got a new hard drive, but it still does it?? any ideas :S |

Call microsoft direct - they arrange for it to be picked up by UPS and return in within 10 -14 days either fixed or you get a new one - but make sure to keep your HD - dont send them this or you may lose all your data! Also - those cooling things are no good, ive heard that they actually scratch the inside of your xbox and do more harm than good.... Im sending ym xbox next week - hopefully i will get a new one! |

| Re: 360 - 3 red lights flashingYou 0wned your 360 yourself, maybe you played it to much or did'nt have enough ventilation for it, when I play mine I make sure hte ground is solid for ventilation leave it side ways and take 15 min breaks. |
