Exceem not working at home :(

Hey,

I'm at college, eXceem doesn't seem to be working for me as home since the upgrade thingy.
Was wondering what the problem is?

I'm on NTL and that page keeps appearing saying the sorry the board is unavailable blah blah..

I've F5'd it, cleared cookies, cache and everything, tried IE - worked there for one day (thanks to woo) but not anymore..

Any ideas what's wrong??

I had the same problem, cleared cookies, cleared temp internet pages, did the F5 thingy and restarted it..it worked after that. Not sure if it'll work for you.

Re: Exceem not working at home :(

mozfadz, when you say "I've F5'd it" do you mean you did CTRL + F5 or just F5?

Cheers
Tom

I had the same problem a couple of days ago, when they were upgrading things. I also have NTL, and had to wait 2 days for the DNS to update

Yeah Tom I meant ctrl n F5, didn't do anything. It must be an NTL problem cause I'm at home at the moment but I can come through a proxy website.

Don't get why it says the board is unavailable thing though, it should just say server not found :S

Any other ideas people?

I tried that restarting thing and it didn't work.

Mines also said that, said that jon was fixing it and it would be back in 30 mins.

Am no expert but is it possibly a problem with DNS or your ISP?

That happened me last time the forums were offline for a short while. I'm on AOL but I downloaded firefox and it worked in it.

Re: Exceem not working at home :(

yeh arctic, I thought it was NTL

It says:
Sorry, the board is unavailable at the moment while we upgrade a few things.

We will be back soon within 30 mins

Jon - eXceem Admin

That happens on both of my computers at home,

I did that run/command thing and it said

Unable to resolve target system name exceem.co.uk

What's that thing you do to change the port and that? Can someone explain to me how to do it in firefox and I'll try it..
wooster showed me how to do it in IE but it's not working atm.
