| Mini Mac | It's been said before and it'll be said again. People have too high expectations of networks these days. I'm pretty sure that when you order it says something like it can take up to 30 days for shipping or words to that effect. So RI aren't as quick as the likes of FJ atm. Ash has said when you will get your cheque.

No i just talk from a lot of personal experience when it comes to using RI. Who cares if I'm sticking up for RI. They have always come through in the end for me. I'm telling you that the site states it may take up to 21 working days or something like that on the site, which is basically the month. Times have changed from when it was the norm for networks to take a month to ship your gift. Everyone is far too used to the speedy services of some of the other networks.

| iPod 60gb | I completely agree with Beezer. SandDancer, you should be greatful that you are getting this cheque. Alot of people would love to be in the knowledge that they have a free item on their way. Beezer summed it up quite nicely by saying people have too high expectations. You are a customer, yes. You are waiting for an item, yes. But Ash is doing his exams and has other things on his mind. At least you aren't in the same situation as Claire (I am not sure of any other specific users who are in the same situation) with GA. I wasn't meaning to sound rude towards Claire, as a side note I am very sympathetic. |

| Mr Baldy Chicken | its not a case of sides, I agree that peoples expectations are higher and it should be up to us to lower our expectations, but for the sites to try and meet us somewhere in the middle where possible. I've not had a gift this year so I cant compare directly, but I am naturally an impatient person so even if it arrived the next day it would be too slow. To the OP, maybe a bank transfer would, in hindsight, have been a better idea - fewer variables. |

I cannot actually check the order claims because the site crashes every time I log in - apparently i have 'too many referrals' and Ash hasn't been able to fix this. Things have improved lots recently. Furbs is right on the consistency being the problem and this is the one thing that is likely to make me think twice about using RI again. We'll see - first I need the cheque i requested 3 months ago! I'd be pretty happy if I'd waited a consistent and reliable 1 month and received it by now - it is the lack of explanations and broken promises. But anyway, here's to hopefully a fresh start. | |
