The thing to do is not to sit and brood, but to get yourself into some sort of social situation. I don't know if you have any close friends who were not mutual friends but they could always do a bit of good for you, even if its just company.

I'm with the people saying careful with the drink ... My one side of the family have huge drink problems and i have been told of some people who have also had problems - didn't drink before, and then became total alcoholics as a result, and a few drink related deaths too So please be careful there ash, it's never nice to see someone get completely addicted to alcohol and wasting their money/life on that. I don't know what else to suggest, apart from i hope it gets better for you somehow soon!

My one suggestion is to get yourself out of the flat and into some company... you are in an environment with far too many reminders, a change of scenery will do you good!

Agree with Icks, get yourself into a social situation and try to do things to keep your mind busy. Have been in a similar situation before and the worst thing you can do is stay in by yourself. Getting out even if it's hard will help!

Been living at my parents since this happened, can't bring myself to go back to the flat i have two dogs, one of which was Genna's favorite, she called him 'fluffball' he's a japanese Akita, can't bare to look at him, my mum is looking after him at the moment.....

Apart from that, i've got no-one, i haven't seen any friends in years....and really don't feel ready to start socializing.. i'm in a rut i can't get out of...

Ash

Ash, so sorry mate. I can truly empathise with what you are going through right now... I got back together with the guy who shattered my world, but I gotta say things just weren't the same and a year later I broke off with him. I just never felt the same about him after how much he hurt me, and I thought I would never give myself so completely to anyone again for fear of being hurt again. How wrong I was.

I hope you are happy again soon. Take care of yourself, and try to be with people who care about you.

Thanks Alex,

I don't resent Genna at all, if anything i feel stupid for taking her for granted, all i want in the world is to get back with her...but i won't know how i feel about it until i do get back with her, so here's hoping i get the chance....

Ash, i don't want to come across as a thoughtless pleb, but just wondering what is happening to the network at this moment in time? Are you taking an extended break from it (I understand if so). Just want it cleared up as i am awaiting a custom order and would like to know whether to just order it myself rather than wait a few more weeks or however long it might be? Cheers mate and hope you're feeling ok

If its closed itself just log into your ticket and click re-open issue. I'm sure Ash or Donna will get onto it soon.

Just read this too ash, sorry to hear that. A real shame.

I know how hard it must be, but you can't let her have such control over your emotions. I'm sure she knows that you want her back but if it's likely to happen properly you can't come accross as if you need her (even though you feel like you do).

You say that you've not seen any of your friends in ages, I'm sure you must have one (even if it's been a while) that you can meet for a few drinks and something to take your mind off things for a bit. You said recently you'd started running, I'd just try keep things like that up just any of these little distractions from the pain you're feeling.

Hope your alright mate, I'm sure it'll get sorted.

My best mate at the though cheered me up and got me out of the funk i was in and now i have a beutiful baby girl and an amazing g/f couldn't ask for better so in a way im happy that she broke my heart lol...

Just keep looking to the future matey, don't look back
