i dont know any numbers was only when the bank rung me at work so embarrasing. They say they only use 30 to check a card so wont notice it then a few days later hit it for all its worth. So no other people actually had this problem then? Its all sorted now just put me off recommending it to friends as dotn want them getting problems

Additionly did you use a web mail based email account or your isp's? do you use a different password on each site you join?

I'm actually quite shocked that your bank told you the £30 was just a tester before they tried would try to take anything the could, my bank never even phoned me! I phoned them after questioning o2 about the mystery transaction!

The only place i've used my card lately is on paypal (but it's been registered on there for atleast a year now with no problems) and on amazon, though i've not actually used it on their thanks to my freebie vouchers.

Re: Card Fraud soon after starting?

On another note, it doesn't necessarily have to have been during last week. I read recently that it takes on average 463 days from when the card is compromised to it being used for fraudulent activities.

This makes sense because it makes it harder to track down where the card was compromised, and means that the people doing it get more cards that they can use in the long run.
