How will term 2 work? I understand what it means, but don't know how you can judge whether a referral is "unique" or not?

Well it'd be pretty obvious if 10 referrals signup one after another (e.g. ids 49991,49992 etc). Obviously this can be unique, but it just means that il check to see once the person has 'won'.
