What is putting US sign ups off?

Had forgotten all about my apple account until earlier today and checked it. Basically I had it set up for US visitors and potential US sign ups, not UK.

Did a count and I have 101 yellows and not a single green, lol. Not my best ratio, I have to admit.

Which brings me to this thought, why do US visitors not seem so keen about real-incentives? I dont think it's the network but do the US citizens just not trust freebie sites? Is it the offers? Is it because US referals have got too used to freepay and think that the much better UK sites must have hidden catches as they seem too good to be true?

Interesting that your getting such low conversion rates on your yellows with RI with the US, I am using RI for my American links. Might have to revise my thinking and start using freepay instead.

Thanks for the info

What i think it may be, is the fact that UK offers are shown as soon as they sign up and log in. This may be confusing US citizens. I admit, its not that self explanatary to click on the US flag. This will be updated soon so US sees US offers first and UK see UK offers first.

We are also revising our US offers lists, which should definiitly improve your ratios,

Ash

Thanks.

I wasnt having a dig at RI by the way, was just wondering why US citizens dont seem as keen to sign up after registering.

I look forward to my first ever US green, lol.

Having the US gifts come up first for US subscribers will be a big bonus and should help towards more yellows going green I think. Look forward to that going live.

I know Ash has already answered you on this one but just thought i'd say reading around another big forum (which i'm sure you're aware of), the us citizens are def not scared of the freebie sites, i'd even say they're into more then you are and thats saying something.. think its just a case of they have their fav sites just like we do but here's hoping the changes Ash is talking about will change all that..

Re: What is putting US sign ups off?

This revision would def benefit us all.
I have had a number of potential refs that say 'there are no US offers' only for me to advise them to click on the US flag!
Altho, i get very few from the US - the offers might be the problem Ash as you mentioned!
Would it be worth taking a peek at the offers on the fav US sites - unless you already have

Mak
