Cash alternatives - Please read

Hello,

Starting from the 9th December, cash alternatives will be 85% value of the gift chosen. This is a decision that has been thought about for some time, and is a needed business move im afraid.

This includes both amazon vouchers and cheques. This is a permanent move unfortunately.

For those that dont know:

Amazon vouchers alternatives can be asked for, for any gift on offer.
Cheques can be requested for values over £300.

Thanks,

Ash

For smaller gift items such as an ipod touch, itl be a tiny difference in the amount of cash ul get as apposed to 100%.

Does the value of the cheque have to be over £300 after the 15% reduction has been added or if the value is just over £300 but the 15% reduction takes it below this can it still be requested?

Actually, thinking about it - as I've requested the cash alternative and clicked verify before 9 December shouldn't it still hold even if I don't verify today?

Re: Cash alternatives - Please read

I guess my question would be this......If I was to complete a couple of sites that the gift was under £300, could I add the two of them together and receive a cheque as the total value was more than £300?

Cant I get 100% even if I get 10 extra greens? lol

Actually I'd like to know the answer to that too! I'm planning to click verify on Wednesday-ish so would I still be able to get the 100% Amazon voucher??

Personally I think this should start on the 1st January and not just before christmas - go on, delay until january?!

Also, I actually wanted the 60gb PS3, but this isn't available any longer - surely this should also be 100% cash alternative like the Wii??

Yes, this is fine, you can combine orders to take it over £300 for a cheque.

I think 85% is fair enough. Most people who are looking cash alternatives are going to sell the gift on ebay so if you take in account the ebay fees, paypal fees and the hassle of posting it 15% sounds about right!

Glad i'm verifying today though...
