| Real Incentives Owner | Spam NoticeOver the last few weeks, we have been contacted by various different companies concerning spamming of Real Incentives referral links. This cannot be tolerated so we are bringing in some guidelines and warnings Guidelines to your referral link: *Only use your referral link where it is allowed, and always read the terms and conditions of the website you are promoting it on to ensure this. *Do not trick people into referring under you, always explain that you will be the referrer. This means limited use of url forwarders. Url forwarding is allowed as long as the referrer understands the concept of what they are doing. *If a user has been stopped from promoting their referral link on a website, do not carry on and repeat what you did. Find a different method. Warnings: *Users who use excessive spamming may be placed on hold if we are contacted from any given company concerning use of your referral link. *Users will be given ONE and only one warning. Failure to stop will result in your account being placed on hold. *Users who constantly ignore our warnings and pursist to spam their referral link will have ALL accounts placed on hold throughout the network *Users who constantly use excessive spamming will be placed on hold and their IP and any information will be forwarded to their ISP for further investigation. Note that use of the internet on any given ISP prohibits its use for spamming purposes. Sorry to have to be so strict with this, understand that sites can be blacklisted if they are constantly known for spam. This could include the use of real incentives. I am doing this in the effort to limit the use of spam and to ensure Real Incentives can provide its services for years to come. Ash Can a mod sticky this please. Thanks |

![]() | Re: Spam NoticeFair enough, i think the warning is a good idea and something i've not seen other networks doing? (correct me if i'm wrong?) Only thing that concerns me (as when it happened with giveaway) is the removal of URL forwarding etc etc. How many of you explicity explain that the person you are refering is doing you a favour and being your referal? How many peoples websites, business cards, "insert other method here" state that specifically? Since it became policy on giveaway the only people i've been able to get to sign are friends, family or collegues. Looks like it will now be the same for RI I guess it's just because when people think they are helping you out they instantly become sceptical and wary and wither don't continue or just remove the ref part of the URL! |

Just one question: is there any way I can raise this issue somewhere else on the forum, as it's obviously not fair on other members, not to know what happened. or will that get me banned ? Because quite frankly these kind of issues have to be discussed, imo. Thank you, hope you read this, Tom

| MJ lady with maracas | Re: Spam NoticeWell its obvious spam is evil, I hate it as do most people. After reading through the deleted posts, I am shocked by the conduct of a few people as well as a apparent case of "dual standards" However don't think there is a need to discuss this further since it appears the people involved have all made up.
