Re: Avoid Real Incentives.

I actually wrote this but didn't post in time before the thread was closed (but did keep a record of it) Will post now even though it's now been rectified.

-----------------------------------

to be completely honest I think the guy has a valid point...

ok I understand that he didn't fullfil the offer requirements, but it's not a bannable offence to not get round to having a DVD delivered)(I know what you're gonna say 'like he was ever gonna rent a DVD' - but unfortunatly you can't say that with any certainty, you can only guess that it's fraud related - it's not as if he cancelled).

This goes to show just how important communication is... if you don't answer your support tickets in a timely manner (and its well after xmas so no excuses of backlogs) members get impatient and start wanting to post places they think they'll get a response.

Just my 2 cents,

Oh and we don't ban people for not completing offers correctly... we just simply take the offer credit off.

I appreciate the input woostar.

As ive already said, it was a mistake on our part, which is going to be rectified.

We've just gone about it wrong, i see exactly what you mean, it is not a bannable offence, we just simply didnt realise it.

I got my £250 from real incentives a while back now (see sig).

I've just gone back there now, and although my account isn't on hold (i ended up not doing lovefilm), i only have 5 of the 12 now.

I guess i was lucky, and I would feel back for RI - however i'm pretty sure they got their money from Lovefilm BEFORE they implemented this rule.

Either way i can appriciate I was lucky in starting this freebie business at the right time!

Over to Which? from now on though!

I'm gonna come out supporting RI, the amount of hours they have put in to try and get things back to how they were after the lovefilm delays are nobody's buisness.........even though people are constantly bombarding them with questions about this and that (sometimes rude too). Give these guys a chance, they are offering you a free gift and working bloody hard for it too!

Real Incentives
Meaning that incomplete offers will be reversed rather than the account being placed on hold ?

As for rating RI as a network, the jury is out from my perspective

I can't deny that they have put in a tremendous amount of effort and it's great to see them on here so often. I have to reserve judgement though bearing in mind that my account is still to be verified - I haven't counted the days but that started on 27th November. Admittedly there have been delays and problems but no more or less than any of the other networks.

As for being bombarded with questions, that is an inevitable and unfortunate effect of posting on eXceem. It's their choice at the end of the day and presumably they do it because they want the network to succeed - I don't feel sorry for that, they are not in it for the charity after all.

Just my two pennies worth.

IMO this is what you'd generally put down to teething troubles - I think it's pretty easy to forget that despite their strong presence on here RI is still a network in its infancy, learning the business as they go along. Encountering these kind of policy problems and finding the best way to deal with them is all part of the process, and personally I commend Ash and co. for realising they'd taken the wrong line and being prepared to alter their initial stance. Plenty of folk would be too proud/stubborn/daft to do so.

Re: Avoid Real Incentives.

Wasn't guna comment in this thread but thought I'd just say how I see things. It looks to me like RI simply didn't really think about what to do with the refusals, just putting them on hold because they didn't turn green. Just one of those easy slips of the mind where more thought/a different option should have been undertaken.

And I'm impressed by the short amount of time it took for them to admit that they were wrong and go back on their word. Takes guts, and I'm guessing it's also guna take a lot more time up.

Also just like to say that I think they've done fairly well so far, launching on exceem is a good way to get a new site out there, but there will always be a few people who complete the site quickly leading to lots of cash being needed! We have seen almost unrivaled support and great crediting times. Without lovefilm everything would be running far smooher. My guess is that in a couple of months RI will be ticking over very nicely, and be growing rapidly. Keep it up.

Re: Avoid Real Incentives.

I've read this thread with great interest but some confusion.
I have supported RI from day one, their customer support is brilliant, they are always on here (Even though they don't really have to!) and are swift in answered support tickets.
I signed up to console incentives and had managed to get 10 refs, lovely I thought £200 paypal.
Then came the reversals, 2 of my refs were put on hold. Ok not the end of the world i'll simply get another 2.
Logged on today, congratulations 10/10 . . so i've started to verify.
Now I was waiting on verification for the £200 last time the refusals came in, after reading this thread are the 2 that were on hold going to be taken from me again?
If so I would have been waiting on verification twice and then have to complete it again when I get enough refs, surely the verification process does not take 20 days each time I do it? If so it may be a very long time til I get that money!!
Apart from the question above keep up the good work guys!!

Hi All,

Just begun reading through all these posts as i'm in the same boat, but i'm a little confused about one thing, i think ReflexReact stated that he completed his offer a while back, got verified and received his gift, he has now gone back and found half his referrals are on hold because of the lovefilm issue.

My point is how comes we are getting penalised now when people in the past have not, it seems one rulle for one and one for another?

Simply put, RI made a costly mistake but have learnt from that and are now following a sensible timescale.

Yeah I'm gutted because if I'd hit verify a couple of days earlier I'd have a gift worth 25 greens instead of a measly 11

Re: Avoid Real Incentives.

Real Incentives is the first and only freebie site I've been involved with... I got into the whole thing in late December with a referral to Console Incentives. I've been verifying on 5/5 greens for a DS lite for a little while now, and am sitting on 15y/4g/10 for Wii Incentives from them.

But having read all the stuff in this thread, I'm getting a bit worried about the whole thing. Can anyone put my mind at ease? Has anyone recieved anything from RI?

I am putting you at ease

They're a great network, and Ash and Dunstan are top blokes who wouldn't screw us over.

They were off to a bit rocky start - only because of LoveFiLM trying to eff them up. It should all be sorted now.

Re: Avoid Real Incentives.

I've received my £250 from R-I and checked yesterday to find I was on 10/12 greens as 5 had been put on hold.

This hasn't only affected R-I though as my ipod giveaway account is now only showing 9 greens so at least 5 must have been reversed (I had 14 last time I checked) - Again I’ve received the ipod already so this is an unfortunate loss that's been swallowed by the network.

My worry is that with the new procedure of reversals that networks will have to wait until the report comes in to be sure of who completed properly etc and therefore we will see a massive increase in verification times?

I’ve been really happy with R-I and both Ash and Dunstan have bent over backwards to help me out with questions, special requests or problems (as it’s obvious they have done for others on here). This ‘on hold’ issue and their turnaround just seems to cement in my mind their wish to do run this network properly, professionally and with their users interests in mind at all times.

I’m looking forward to completing the apple site now and hoping I’m not left with enough refs for a shuffle rather than a mac book!

Thanks to DariusTim and Stephen N... you certainly have reassured me about RI. My only doubt (and it is a niggling little one) is that I've only come across folks who have recieved PayPal cash from RI, and can't seem to find evidence of anyone recieving a physical item like a console, Ipod, or whatever... I know that doesn't seem like a big deal to you guys probably, but it does make me a bit uneasy about it all.
