Could this kill the iPhone?

Just been looking at the Motorola Atrix - looks pretty amazing! (See for yourself: Motorola Atrix | Android Smartphone | Orange Shop | Now available) Just seems to do so much! Obviously not had a chance to have a go on one yet so can't say how smooth it is or how it compares to the iPhone... but feature and accessibility wise it looks streaks ahead! I like the lapdock feature!

What you reckon?!

All these new phones are just iPhone wannabe's, they dont have the apps games and other addons which apple are constantly updated improving.

The Only decent phone out there atm which comes close is the Samsung Galaxy S2.

It's a nice looking phone (not as nice looking as the iphone though) but it has one massive downside, it runs on android.

I don't get on with android, it's pants compared to ios4.

tbh it's quite a good phone, tech specs blows iPhone 4 out of the water. But like the others say, it's still Android.

Actually I think it's iOS that's good, not the iPhone hardware. But seriously, everything that's labelled Apple does really well these days.

I agree that it really is the iOS that sells the iPhone and not the iPhone itself, although the design is good.

I also think that Apple win because they put all their effort into just 1 phone, and it works. Other companies, like Samsung, Motorola etc bring out 5 phones a month it seems these days! There's always another new phone out.

I think Apple have it sussed and therefore everyone else will always be playing catch up (until Steve Jobs dies of course!)

Am I the only person with an irrational hate of itunes?

I just want my phone to open (as my blackberry does) in explorer and I can copy the music too it, I don't want someone telling me how to organise my files or whats best, i've got a system that i've been using for years and it works for me.

Then there's the fact that I run Linux at home . . . .headache!

I think it's the app store and ease of use that does it for apple. Android is good and has more customisation but to the common person it is more complicated and fiddly than iOS.

Developers seem to create apps on the app store most probably because it has and always will have a wider audience which means more sales.

Most of the features on the iOS, other operating systems have it's just that the touchscreen, durability and it has the apple logo on it and that's why people love it.

I would have to disagree here. The main difference between Android phones and the iPhone is that there is a wide variety of Android phones to choose from while right now there is only one iPhone model available, the iPhone 4. In that case it wouldn't be fair to compare the iPhone to Android since there are so many competitors. You wouldn't say an HTC Wildfire has better hardware than the iPhone, but you could say it for the Samsung Galaxy S2.
