Samsung Galaxy Tab or Apple iPad

So I'm interested to get some peoples views on this. I just saw a Tesco advert for the Galaxy Tab... I thought there was only the Samsung phone version so had a little look.

I must say it looks impressive, and other than a smaller screen it looks like it beats the iPad hands down!

What do you think and why?!

Voted for "Other" because I wouldn't buy either yet. Tablets are pretty new and I think they've got a while to go before becoming the "Half mobile half laptop" concept that Apple were going for.

At the very least I'd wait until the new iPads are announced

Other cause they both suck. You can get a smartphone that it's 4 times smaller and it can do the same things.
I hate tablets and I don't know why these tabs are so popular

Apple iPad or the new Blackberry Playbook. Blackberry playbook looks like it could be a good competitor to the iPad but unfortunately is isnt out yet i dont think.

Iv played with both - and iv had an iPad since the summer!! Samsung is just that little bit laggy, i dont think anything compares to the ipad! The only problem with them is the no flash support and no camara's!
If they put a couple of camaras on it (which i think they will with the new model) Then it would be perfect, at first i was going to sell it but now i couldnt live without it!!

We got the tab in our Currys branch yesterday, did nothing but play with it. I thought the dell streak was a bit big for a phone. Then I saw the tab.

Wait until April for the iPad 2nd Generation. Rumours and leaks have shown that it will probably have retina display, full HD 1080p video recording, front facing camera and a much faster processor (And a new OS).

what are the results of not having flash? I googled a little bit but couldn't find much more than excuses for the ipad not having flash. So why is it a big deal?

Also, will Fj be sending out the new iPads when they are released? Wondering whether I should hold onto my greens until then...

@buckers yeah I have an iPhone 4 aswell, it was a freebie and I was going to sell it but I was goin on holiday and thout it would be good to watch a couple of films on as it was a 9hour flight and just never looked back (I'm typing on it right now)

Very easy to use and I hate looking at website pages through my iPhone and u can't watch films on iPhone without getting a headache (gr8 for youp0rn swell) lol sorry girls!!

So I love mine and when the new iPad comes out I will sell it and buy the new one!! Or get the blackberry tab

i have a iphone 4 but i am saving my greens for a ipad the ipads are very impressive as i had a business consultation in the apple store showing me all the benefits for the ipad for business very impressed as i will start using it for business consultations with my clients more portable and looks more impressive than a laptop that every Tom Dick or Harry takes to a consultation but it will feel a lot more sweeter getting it for FREE
