Do you think a relaunch/redesign of eXceem would be a good idea?

It appears that the hype around incentive sites is dying out and is nothing compared to what is used to be. There used to be quite a few sites and active communities that would help get the word out and make the whole idea more believable, but now it's just sort of up to us and our individual sites and eXceem.

Don't get me wrong, I'm glad eXceem has stayed strong but even the American alternatives are getting quiet.

Perhaps it's time for change, a fresh design and a community effort to remove the doubt that clearly still exists today?

In my opinion, changing exceem really isnt going to make much difference when there is only really two networks active.

I'd rather have two trusted networks however rather than just adding some networks to "make up the numbers".

The problem we have is that people join and think exceem has a magic wand that will give them loads of greens instantly, maybe something can be done so that before they finish registering there are certain points that they need to read and understand.

What other active communities where there? I remember another forum, can't remember the name but that's it.

The doubt will always be there, a redesign of exceem wouldn't change that. People will be more taken by the content rather than the style. If they still disbelieve after reading around then a new design won't change that.

I don't mean adding more networks, I mean promoting what is already there in a larger scale. Getting a fresher design with more integration of social networking, blogs etc to extend the community take the idea of incentive sites further to get some attention, which will help us all out.

I agree with Arctic. No offence to the other networks but the 2 main ones (+ maybe Xpango) are more than enough. If more can be done to spread the word that these are good sites and not scams then that would be good (like FJ are doing with their competitions) but a redesign of eXceem aint guna help that. I agree that most people think joining eXceem will get them all their greens, which isn't the case.

Maybe a slight reorganisation of threads? I think what really needs to happen is their need to be more external sites promoting the ideas of freebies. Not our websites and not FJ etc, but things like FreebieAngel etc.

(And an iPhone App!! I know it's a massive thing which has been discussed before, but could do wonders for promotion)

So you don't think a redesign of the forum would attract more attention to the scene? A reorganisation of what we have and a more modern look?

See I agree there, more external sites promoting freebies needs to happen. But don't you think that by bigging up eXceem a bit more and modernising it might make other people a bit more inclined to mention it?

there were 2 other communities that I used to read and they were regularly used (quite often by banned exceem members lol). Anyway, one of them seems to have just shut after months of only having spam contributions and the other never gets any posts and I dont think even the owner can be contacted. I think only one active Mod exists.

I just think we should at least try and get some coverage, be it media attention or more people mentioning eXceem via videos, reviews, social networking, whatever!

Just saying 'no, nothing will work, it's up to each individual...etc' just means we'll sit in the same old situation and try our luck to get somewhere.

People are too scared of change, has anyone looked at the price of exceem.com as a starting point to globalise this shiz up?

thats exactly whats needed, but everybody i know that has tried says they just say it sounds too much like a pyramid scheme and dont bother looking into it

many of us have links to exceem and vids of proof e.g CNN but I do like the idea of a video about exceem, where we can contribute and then post that on youtube etc and our own sites. Would also be good to show to newbies. Good idea, if thats what you were thinking. If not, thats my idea lol.

Your idea is a huge part of what I am trying to think of!

The community is made of people from all sorts of areas of life, I think we need to make things more professional if you get me. There are enough people that could help with a graphical change, and I'm sure there are also a few who could help with a new template and coding, I feel that more could be offered as a whole if we integrated a little Web 2.0 into things.

By just continuing with things as they are I highly doubt the idea of incentive based affiliate marketing will ever reach its true potential, unless a site like FJ or Kudos work on their own and create their own community. Why bypass eXceem when there are enough of us to help out?

A newer design/template/graphic set would perhaps be a start, with a few more features to the forum to open things up a little?

I mean that as well, what don't you like about the idea of a fresher look?

The design has barely changed from the start. I think a new one could mark the beginning of (like I said) a more feature packed and Web 2.0 eXceem.

Many of us on here (including myself and harvez I think?) have emailed spencer kelly at spencer xdotx kelly at bbc xdotx co xdotx uk, and he just thinks it's a con or pyramid scheme. I think there there need to be like hundreds of us email him before he'd even consider looking at it.
