| The bimmer is better IMO. Having experienced both Mercedes and BMW aftersales BMW are second to none, absolutely fantastic, Mercedes however are a shower of pap. As for the two cars, remember the BMW M3 is based on the 3 series platform, pf course pretty much everything is upgraded, but it still shares the same beginnings as the 3 series. If you're a badge snob then go with the Merc but you'll pay for with more expensive servicing and very poor aftersales. If you want the best ownership experience have the bimmer, everything about them is class! |

| Are we talking new or used? New C class is very nice in the right trim, but basic/older models i dont think are anything special. 3 series will be the better drive and is on my list of possible new cars when i upgrade next year - but will prob have to go for something with less badge to help with insurance! New a4/a3 sportback is pretty nice too, but interior good quality but boring. You might want to check out the lexus IS which tbh i think is a great value used buy and will be more exclusive than the rep-mobile! Last edited by Simon; 11-10-09 at 03:58 PM.. |
