Which mobile to choose?

In a little bit of a dilemma here.. I am thinking of getting a new mobile but can't really decide which one to go for so thought I would see what your opinion of the two are..

I am a bit of a Nokia fanboy so thiking of the Nokia E71 (info)

But I have also heard good things about the HTC TyTN II (info)

Which one would you choose? And if possible the reason why?

Cheers
Tom

htc touch pro (not come out yet, but similar to the htc touch, but it has a slide out keyboard to)

Re: Which mobile to choose?

Yup, been reading about the HTC Pro also! It looks really slick but since I probably will be staying with Three (3), they wont be getting it on the release day.. probably not until end of the year if not next year, thats what I been told from a member of staff anyway! But yeah, the Pro look the business!

On another note, been offered the HTC TyTN II from T-Mobile for £30 a month, 700 minutes and unlimited texts and internet.. hoping that Three will match it for me though! Would you say thats a good offer Jon?

Cheers

Re: Which mobile to choose?

check on the fair usage of the internet with t-mobile, but if there is no fair usage limit or it is a sensible amount then it sounds good, that on a 12 month contract?

Re: Which mobile to choose?

I know.. but come to think of it he never said how many months and I did not ask.. I do remember that for that price plan you would have to pay £120 or so up front for the handset.. which he was generous enough to ignore and told me I could have the handset on that plan for free! (Got it in writing from him to if I decide to switch provider) So it might have been 12.. I should probably pop back in and ask before deciding!

Cheers

I voted for the Nokia
What kind of things are you going to be using it for? Is it going to be a business phone? or just a personal mobile?

Hmmm, they both look pretty big and believe me big phones are not pocket-friendly. The htc has wifi but the Nokia is more aesthetically pleasing to me. I'd imagine the camera would be better as well.

Its just a personal phone, I mainly want a big screen for easier web surfing.. sometimes when at work we have "spare" shifts, you do what needs to be done.. but sometimes everything is covered so you are just sitting there passing time.. and for times like this I would like something to play around with.. i.e. a good mobile for surfing and checking eXceem!

They are actually not that big.. I have played with both the phones instore and they feel comfortable.. obviously I did not put one in my pocket since they might have misinterpreted it for something else!

Nice phone! But its not out yet and not sure if three is going to supply it.. then again, if it arrives before I have made a decision I will definitely keep it in mind!

Any other thoughts or suggestions?

Cheers

I was thinking about the N95 in the beginning but after asking a few friends that has it most was not to happy with it.. they all have had problems with the phone.. one even had to have it replaced three times for the same fault! So, that one is a no no for me.. but thanks for the suggestion!

That sounds like a cracking deal.. just one question.. did you get the Touch Diamond on that deal as a first time customer or was it an upgrade?

Jon, any chance you might know when the HTC Touch Pro is coming out? As I said above, its a very slick mobile and I might switch provider if its comming out soonish.. are you going to get it once its out?

Cheers

I will be getting it, since moving to a phone with a full qwerty keyboard, I could never move back. Think its expected at the end of August

Emma got that deal as an upgrade, even the guy who activated her new sim was saying he didnt get a rate that good
