PS3 or Xbox 360? Cant decide.......

the thing where xbox gets people is the basicness of their cheaper consoles - its a very clever ploy - people dont realise that they have to spend a fortune on extras which they believed, and should be, included in the origional packages

You can't really add the fact that their is a new xbox into the equation tho, as then sony would add their next console in and so on and so on.

Simply put, the Microsoft stole a march on Sony and released their console earlier, thus meaning that Sony had to play catch up, and still are. It backfired a little on Microsoft as the build quality was an issue and cost them Millions, but they may have regained that by the fact that for a year or so they had the whole market (by releasing their console so early)

I think you might find that nintendo's next venture may well be another dark horse. The wii has undoubtedly been the biggest success for many a year and is still outselling the ps3 and the xbox 360 combined by over 3:1

This must be generating them a HUGE amount of cash, and re-igniting their following and reputation. I think nintendos next console may have the same sort of impact as the SNES had back in the day!

I'd consider getting the one that most of your mates are on, as online play is the way forward...

Also which console exclusive games titles do you like? If you love Gears of War, get a 360 for example.

I have a 360 and think xbox live is brilliant, but that's prob cos most of my mates are on it.

If I had a PS3 and all my mates were on their online service, I think it would be just as good if not better..

I bought my 360 2 years ago before the PS3 was out, but if I was going to the shops today to buy my console and my friends were not all on xbox live, I would prob buy a PS3 cos the graphics are a bit crisper and it has blu-ray.

But as has been already mentioned, the 360 was released first which is why it got such a head start

Arnt Sony working on a new online thinggy (like Xbox's) called 'Home' ?

If that is the case then the online arguments will have to sort of balance each other out as i think they are planning on having those crazy 'Gamerpoint' and 'Achivements' that you can get on Xobx Live.

I can't decide if achievements are actually a good thing to have or not because it's only to get people to buy more games to get more points, and it gets obsessive. They don't bother me that much, but if my points don't move for a while, that annoys me (like now ) But then, it makes you explore games a bit more.

That things coming out for PS3 where you create your character is an alright idea, but as I said before, it's more of an entertainment thing, not a gaming thing, as I personally wouldn't want to waste time on there.

1st a core system that i had for about 6 months NEVER had a problem with it sold it to buy a 42 inch rear projection tv.

I know alot used to suffer from the 3 red lights but microsoft were good enough to give people an extra 2 years warranty on the consoles

So you can probably guess id say go fro the 360 i do have a ps3 as well which i got free from freebeijeebies but theres just no camparison the 360 is well ahead i have leant my ps3 to my sister the day after i received it

PS3 does more than 360 its a powerhouse and an entertainment system/bluy ray player/web browser and how is the online better, at the end of the day on both consoles ur playin other ppl and chattin to other ppl, theres no difference, apart from ours is better value.

The games are just as good, the 360 has games which are better just like the PS3 has games which are better, its a balance, PS3 has a 10 year life span, give the developers time to make the games pal, killzone 2, MGS4, Final fantasy, little big planet.

sorry but the 360 had a year head start and the PS3 is doing a mighty good job and again, as mentioned earlier, some games look better on 360 and some look better on PS3, you must have hawk eyes if u can tell the difference mate
