two words...poll tax.

Right i know ill probably get flamed because "im too young to have even been born during that time" but ive read enough in school about the 80s and 90s politics to know that the tories back in power would not be a good idea.

IMO, im fed up with both Labour and Conservatives and although its unlikely to have an affect i would have to choose Lib dem at the next general election.

For me though, i'm all for Scottish Independance.

Glad to know that some people read into their politics.

I've been Lib Dem since I started studying Politics and this hasn't changed. Shame their support has been declining since Charles Kennedy...

Re: Exceem General Election

Doubt I would ever vote for Tories as lets face it. They cocked it up some what last time and I acknowledge this is my first year of being able to vote and that Brown is somewhat **** but atleast he ain't Conserv. Plus with any luck he'll get dumped.

There's nothing wrong with voting BNP. I voted conservative though. We just can't go on with a labour government any more and it's clear to see.

I did, and im not ashamed at all.

not talking politics crap on here there are forums for it.
I voted for them, for their imagration rules. not for their strong political beliefs.
i'm in no way rasict's so dont even think of calling me that, i work in a school which is 90% mixed race and we have the best school in leeds for non bullying and anti racism.
single minded people need to think more.

Re: Exceem General Election

With politics I think some people see the short story, or the headline facts, instead of looking at the bigger picture.

Over the years since Tony Blair came into power, Gordon Brown has done a cracking job with the economy and created a steady but increasing rise over those years while he was chancellor - no more boom and bust at the moment - go back to the recession of the early 90's , even though things are a bit tighter due to the global (yes global not just UK) credit crises, we still have in general low unemployment, and the economy is still in good shape.

Won't even give my thoughts on the BNP as although they are entitled to free speech, I dont agree with alot of their policies as well as how they go about their politics in some parts of the country
