Well,
I recently got my first freebie from freepay (two ipod nanos w00t)
Anyway, i sold one, but with the other one, im thinking of getting the back gold plated? It would cost me £29.75ish, i think it would be cool 'cus it's different but what do you think?
Is it, a good idea, a bad idea or am i an idiot for even thinking about it :-p

I voted yes, but it'd probably be a bigger target for chavs as they can sense gold.

not advisable mate. A friend of mine got his done about 3 months back. (ipod video 60gb)

the back done obviously, for about £50.
Because he uses it alot, in his pocket and stuff, the gold appeared to be "flaking off" after a few weeks. it just looked messed up for a while.

I wouldn't advise it, also you don't need it. Waste of money.

Come to think of it, you eont get any apple support if something goes wrong in the future. (Unless you're past the warranty, they're bastards if you are. They were going to charge e like £130 to fix my first gen ipod nano screen. i bought one off ebay with tools and instructions for £10 and did it myself

I'd do it! Would stand out from the crowd certainly. I think it's quite classy myself, not chavvy at all.

I'd be worried it got all scratched and look naff though, but I guess that would happen anyway!
