Will ENGLAND qualify fro EURO 2008?

I know this has been discussed on another topic but there was never a poll for it so i thought i'd create one.

I really really hope so. My heart want us to but my head is telling me we won't. I hope we get a result against croatia AS I'M GOING TO IT.

After reading what apparently the Israel manager was saying (about fielding a young team and wanting russia to go through) it looks like we have no chance.

But for that little chance we can go through, COME ON ISRAEL get a result!!!!!!!! and COME ON ENGLAND beat croatia.

Also i had to vote yes as they are my own country.

looking at it realistically, i'd say no chance. But i really hope they do get through!

For anyone who is confused by it all and don't understand how england can get through then this is taken from the BBC website:

"The lowdown:
England's qualification is out of their hands. Their best hope is to finish ahead of Russia. But if the Russians win in Israel on Saturday, they will be one point ahead of England with one match to play - and that match is away to rock-bottom Andorra. England will not expect any favours from Andorra, who are on a run of 28 consecutive Euro qualifying defeats.

If Russia lose in Israel, then England need only to draw (or win) against Croatia in their final match at Wembley to guarantee qualification. If Russia draw in Israel, then England will need to beat Croatia in their final match to go through, given that a Russia win against Andorra is all but certain.

There is one other glimmer of hope for England. If Croatia lose in Macedonia, then an England win over the Croats by a three-goal margin will put them above their rivals. A 2-0 win would also be enough, but a two-goal margin in which England have conceded a goal (eg 3-1) will not be enough - as Croatia's away goal will mean they lead the head-to-head standings between the teams. Of course, should Russia have dropped points against Israel then any win over Croatia will suffice. "

I can see us beating Croatia and Israel drawing against Russia at least.

why so many doubters? all they need is a draw against croatia in england. the chances of northern ireland going through are much slimmer. yet its 7-7. great result for israel and macedonia. although denmark are winning 2-1 against denmark putting them on 20 points spain are on 25 because there beating sweden, sweden are on 23 and there last game is againts latvia which isnt a tough match.

I think most of the no's came in before todays result. To be fair before today i would have said no, but know I would be very surprised if they didn't get at least a draw.

All we need to do now is beat croatia 2-0 to go top (as they lost to macedonia lol) or draw to come 2nd.

Most of the no's were before tonights game. But WELL DONE AGAIN to israel.

Right as u lot was wrong last time and i kicked up a fzz about england gettign to final of rugby i have 5 quid england going threw!!!
