![]() ![]() | Re: Downgrade or NoWell No and Yes, At home i run my old PC on XP that stuff which doesn't work with my new Vista PC....Ive had allot of probs with vista, loads of programs crash on it, FireFox is terrible on it, but then again it's real smart, good Visually, But if you do allot with your PC like i do, as in video convert or run all random programs lol, Downgrade to XP.. Once February rolls round there with be a Service Pack coming out for Vista which should solve alot of bugs and problems Or you Could Dual Boot your PC

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Re: Downgrade or NoGuess it depends what the hardware is and how important it is? I don't have vista but have used computers that do and I really don't like it. However that could just be the initial and superficial phase as I haven't really spent that much time on it.

![]() ![]() ![]() | Re: Downgrade or NoAt home on parents laptop at the mo' which has vista and must say I'm impressed with it. Takes a little while to get used to but I have to admit that vista is the way forward. XP may seem better now but I think that will change in the future!

![]() | Re: Downgrade or Noi agree that vista is the future etc but now it is a piece of **** (with too many faults). so why not downgrade to xp for now, wait until one or even two service packs come out for vista, and then go back to vista? (by then your hardware could be compatible, or you may have new hardware) |

| Whoop there it is | Re: Downgrade or NoYou'd have to wait till Service Pack 67 for it to work reasonably well. I would say Dual Boot your PC for now. |

| Jeremy Irons-TrueorFalse | Re: Downgrade or NoStay with Vista. All I heard was bad reviews about it, but I dismissed them, and I made the right decision. I don't really have any problems with it, and you'll be a fool to choose an older OS, no matter what this hardware is. Thanks.

![]() | Re: Downgrade or NoI voted Yes...Heres why: Windows Vista was launched by Microsoft way before the testing phase of the software in the SDLC (Systems Development Life Cycle) was finished, merely just to get it to the public while anticipation for the software was at its highest, believe it or not but since Vista was launched, Microsoft are STILL carrying out the certain testing techniques that were supposed to be finished before it was released. Microsoft released Vista on a Trial and Error basis i.e. Do you know when one of your programs crash on Windows and a Microsoft Error Report pops up (the dreaded 'Send Error Report' or 'Dont Send' window), by sending the error report your actually finding bugs and sending the problem the M$ to fix it (which is what their testers are actually paid to do but they want us to do it for FREE). From a software theory perspective, each new piece of software thats been developed is estimated to have 5 bugs/errors to every 100 lines of code written. Now with Windows Vista having a whopping 50,000,000 lines of code, that works out as a 2.5 million potential bugs in the Vista software. Of course M$ will make you send them in all the error reports to fix a lot of these bugs and not pay you a penny, no doubt they will release a 2nd Edition of Windows Vista with most of the bugs fixed that M$ will once again.....make you pay for! Thats the reason why i never upgraded to Vista, im waiting until they release a 2nd edition with all the bugs fixed They did the exact same with Windows XP when it was first released |
