But then Chigley does have a point. Look at Xenia. It is not pronounced EXX-enia is it? Pronounced SEEN-eeaah. Even though we got from the network direct, different people from different cultures will say things differently including from different countries. Another example is Moschino. In Italian c and h toghether is said like a sss and not a shh. C on it's own is said as a shhh. Take Versace for example. It is not said as Versaass is it?!?! lol!

Makes you think how ignorant we are.

xenia is pronounced as it is due to the vowel preceeding the x, similar to the effect of xylophone, but thats because y is a freaky ... vowel-like letter.

C on it's own in Italian can also sound like our C's do eg. Comprare etc. It all depends on the context. Capiche?!

Just becuse Chiggers is outvoted doesn't make him wrong. We could all be wrong. The only way to settle it is for someone to PM Xpango and ask them to post to give a definitive answer one way or the other.
