Poker Tournament stopped 3hr 20mins In

just wondering what your guys view on this is.Ok so tonight i entered a tournament on Sky poker the tournament in question was a £20,000 bounty hunter @ £33 buy-in the tournament started at 8pm with 873 players. Now for the first hour the game ran perfectly fine and then after the first tournament break the game slowed down to a terrible pace as if the server could not cope and when i say slow down i mean slow down the blinds where set to raise every 10 mins and in the space of that 10 minutes we would se around 4-5 hands waiting around 2-3 minutes for each hand to load up.Now this brings a massize problem the blinds are still going up but we are only playing 4-5 hands each level which means that alot of players were being blinded out now this caused alot of frustration within the game and alot of people told sky of the problem to which they responsed that they where dealing with it this is around 9:20pm now rather than pauseing or stopping the tournament they allowed it to continue meaning still people where being forced out of the the tourny by the huge blinds. At around 10pm when the second break began they stood around 250 of the orginal 873 left at this point pretty much all players where crying out for the tourny to be paused or stopped to which we still only recieved a response of sky poker techincal staff are working frantical to solve the issue. So the game continued still the same story people being forced out of the tournament by the blinds now come 11.20pm still no update from sky poker the tournament still running at a extremely slow pace sky decide they cannot fix the problem so stop the tournament 3hr 20min after the tournament started and 2hr 20mins since the problem started at the point they stopped the tournament they was 141 players left sky then announced that players left in the tournament will paid based on where they finish in the chip count now me for instense was sat in 7th and had been refunded £188 which if i would of finish 7th if the game would have gone through to the end i would have pocketed £450 ish first place at the time was refunded £210 where as first place should pocket £2,600.Now not only are the way the refunds been given wrong all players that when out of the tournament before they stopped it will not recieve any form of refund as of now.I hope i have explained this well enough and would love to hear your views on the matter as i understand that this is a huge amount of money that is sat in this tournament around £26,000 and sky could stand to lose alot of money but if they would of simply acted sooner ie around 9:30pm rather than letting the tourny get so deep then they could of solved all of this.look forward to hearing your guys view on the matter.

First off, was quite awkward to read, breaking down into paragraphs and using fullstops would of helped

It sounds to me like the problem was that the servers couldn't cope and people was forced out of the game and Sky just continued to let it happen, later when they decided to stop the tournament, they refunded incorrect amounts?

Not sure what proof you could provide or what details Sky had, Sky could of had incorrect details being fed back from the server and hence thought they refunded you the correct amount?

I would just try contacting support, seems your best option.

There's no knowing where you may have ended up, you could have gone out next. As it was, you made £150 in a couple of hours, so not all bad.

The alternative is to give every single entrant their £33 back. That wouldn't help you much though!
