Coral have changed their poker, moved to a different server and various other things and suspended the create your own tourneys for a few weeks. I'm going to send a support ticket but chances are nothing's gonna be done before tonight!

We've either got two choices of find another poker site before next week or suspend this for a few weeks until Coral's back! Whatever you want to do, just need to give me time to find aomeone else before next week if that's what you choose!

whatever ppl want to do is fine by me, but personally i love full tilt.
it was discussed before as being the league venue but the minimum deposit was $50 - but alas it is no longer! its now only $10, which is only about £6.50ish.
its a far better software than coral and a far more reputable poker room in general. its up to the other members tho as i said i'll stick with coral if that what people want to do

If everyone else is happy shall we move to full tilt then from next Sunday onwards? Is it easy enough to set up tournaments?

sorry i wasnt aware of this...

For BBD/CrazyL: How to set up a private tournament on FullTilt Poker - Sports Handicapping, Betting & Picks - SBR Forum

it actually looks a bit more complicated than one might hope. you have to send an email to set it up. ive emailed them asking them for instructions in case their procedure has changed since last yr

Right, Coral poker still doesnt let you create your own tournaments, so we've either got Will Hill where we played last year or Full Tilt Poker both of which you have to email to set up. Everyone happy with one of those?

EDIT: have also just checked 32red poker and you can set up your own games there without emaiuling anyone./ Minimum deposit £10 - would be enought to last all games

full tilt is the best software, will hill was a bit rubbish but some of us already have accounts with them from last year, 32red im not familiar with but £10 deposit is a bit much unless someone can vouch for the software because we'd have to keep using it til the end of the league. personally id rather not do 32red if its an offer because i will want to do it at some point as a trade.

pkr im registered with but have no money in there. i really dont like the software either, too much emphasis on avatars not enough on poker.

im with full tilt (only $10 deposit) on this one. its easy to use, low deposit and not too draining on your PC.

emailed setups arent too bad but you have to do it in advance (FT said 48hrs). That said, i think its better to do that than pick a site with instant setup just so we can play tonight.

so to clarify.. i am happy to do any instant setup site as long as its minimum deposit isnt too high, and it isnt an offer on a freebie site. my preferred choice would be full tilt tho.

lol i just joined PokerStars and emailed them about private games... they said you can set one up once you have earned 2,000 FPPs, which, as i play the two dollar SNGs and play 2.5 a day on average, means i'd reach 2000FPPs in 2 years, 2 months and 10 days!!!!!

Pffftt!

that would be great cus PokerStars is the best software around except for Full Tilt.

my only concern Tim is that you havent actually played yet - you're absent to play the games so how likely are you to set them up every week?

but if you'd make that commitment then thats fantastic!!
and everyone look out cus if he's got that many FPPs then he must be good!

emma i think Tim's absence this week has answered my question. i didnt realise you'd want anyone else to set the games up, because i wouldnt mind at all. but we do need to decide which site to use.

Haha no I'm far from brilliant...but I've been a member of PokerStars for over a year, so I've accumulated them. Erm yeah I understand your concern, and the main problem is that I do normally tend to go out on Sunday. Was just looking to set up the game right now, before I left, but it's a $10 minimum buy-in. How many of you people would be willing to pay that much ?

All hope is not lost, I've just e-mailed them, because one of the poker guys I got on MSN said if you e-mail them they can lower the buy-ins...Not sure how quickly they'll reply to me though.

Shoudln't have left it so late, sorry guys !

thanks Tim but dont worry about it now, because A) there won't be a game on tonite cus Emma's not here, and B) Coral will be resuming private tournies from either next week or week after i think, which means we dont need to find a new site after all.
thanks 4 your efforts tho

No problem, I've just had the buy-ins lowered to $5.50. So if you do wanna play on PokerStars, as it is one of the most reliable websites out there, and the most popular one, I'm online a lot (maybe not as much on eXceem - but I do visit a couple of times a week) so I could set the tournaments up a couple of days in advance. It's only $10 minimum deposit too.
