Ive never seen luck like this....

OK so I just played an online game of NL Hold 'Em with the luckiest person in the whole wide world. I've seen good luck and at times Ive even had my fair share of it but in the many years Ive been playing poke Ive not seen anything as incredible as this.

I will post the text commentary in the next few posts because it is too big for this one. I've highlighted in bold the pots won by Ferny01, but it doesnt really give you an idea of what it was like to play her. Every time you bet into the pot you lose your chips. Eventually the other players including myself had to change the way we were playing to suit it. So we all started checking to the river and hope to just steal the blinds. Because Ferny01 was playing very passively and looking to set traps, you couldnt even bet on the river to try to steal it because she would always have you beat. Even when you had nothing, she had a higher nothing.

It even got to the point where say, I would flop middle pair and automatically assume she had top pair - which she did! 6A6 would come down and you'd pair your Ace but you just knew she had the 6 - and she did!

You can see I even commented about this, but her luck carried on and on and on until she even won the final hand with a straight. All in all she had fullhouses, flushes, soo many straights, and had pocket kings on more than two occasions. Ive never seen someone have such luck that it made it impossible to take down a pot!!!

Hehe I've played against players who seemed to have been exactly the same lol, unfortunately from your logs you can't determine how the hands played out or anything so it's kinda lame looking at them

Out of curiousity what kinda limits do ya play and what's your User name on FT ?

I play mostly with play money - usually 2000 buyins although i've done a few 10000s and sometimes if i want a quick easy win i do 250s. But when i know im focused i play $1 sitngos. I always play sitngos NEVER ring games cus im rubbish at them lol. I have over 100k in play chips tho lol.

Basically sometimes my mind is too tired to focus so if i lose a couple of cash games in a row i revert back to play money. Because when i lose focus im not able to read the game/players and end up not thinking and making terrible decisions.

Used to play $0.25/0.50 cash games but these limits on full tilt are full of donks which in long run you will profit from, but my bankroll management was shocking and was on a bad run, and my bankroll was able to sustain it. So switched to Sit and Gos couple of days ago, playing $2.25 and $3.30 ones. Trying to build my bankroll up again, properly this time.

Lost $255, with KK, going all in pre-flop, getting called by A8 (wtf :?) and he spijed an Ace on the river.

Been running good recently on the Sit&Gos so stick with these for a while

my style usually involves limping in. i prefer to see lots of flops than raise too much preflop

the only time i ever go all in preflop is when im in a tournament or sitngo and am low on chips so need to double up

that game took ages for a 250 sitter lol
i felt i had to gamble on that hand i went out on.
with the Ace i was hoping to hit one last club
for some reason in that situation i usually make a flush despite being underdog, lol

it usually is tbh in a 250, id say 5 times out of 6 it is. I played another one right after i got dumped out and on the first hand 4 players went allin.

Lol thats why i play the 2k and 10k ones.

I've been practising on cash tables today - low limit ring games. But for some reason I just cant play ring poker at all!! SNGs i find easy enough and can gradually build my balance with them, but as soon as i sit down at a ring game i lose chips. What always happens with me is that I win far more hands than i lose, but when i do lose a hand i lose more than the chips i've won in the last twenty hands!

So it'll take me for example 20 hands to increase from say $2 to $3, but then in ONE hand i will lose $1.50!! Too many bad beats today thats for sure, but Im determined to get in to ring poker because SNGs take too long to win money. If i can get good at ring games then I can pocket more per hour. I may have to lose a bit to practice tho because u cant practice ring poker on the free tables cus ppl dont take it seriously and refuse to fold no matter what they are holding, so raising is pointless.
