Poker...

I am wondering where to buy poker chips? Had had a look on eBay, not sure if thats the cheapest place to buy them so thought I would ask here since quite a few of you are playing poker. Not sure how many actually play in real though but I think at least Dim Tim does.. or is it all online for you guys?

1000 chips for £20.99 (£22.99) + £8.99 postage
1500 chips for £27.99 (£31.99) + £10.99 postage

These are from eBay (in brackets are the Buy It Now price), does anyone know any other place where you can buy poker chips relatively cheaply?

Cheers
Tom

I've got mine from a deal posted on HUKD and I've seen them posted a couple of times, it was a cracking deal...it was way less than 1500 chips though, maybe 500, for £3 or something silly like that, might be worth having a look out for them (the deal was actually on Amazon)

EDIT: Can I just ask how many people are normally going to be using these chips because when we normally play a little live tourney between the 9-12 of us...500-750 is usually more than enough.

Re: Poker...

Will check out HUKD later on and see what there is.. £3 for 1500 chips sounds chocking low to me though! You sure it wasn't £30?

Cheers

Re: Poker...

Still a good deal.. 500 chips for £3 would make it £9 for 1500.. wouldn't say no to that.. even with postage it would be less then £20! I will keep my eyes on HUKD and see if it comes up again.. wouldn't mind if you posted if it comes up though, just in case I miss it!

Cheers

Full Texas Hold'em Poker Set £3 @ Home Bargins (RRP £20) - HotUKDeals Forum

Ok, this isn't the one I bought my poker chips from, but it might do the trick for you. The chips are actually better than they look, and they've got the right weight.

Re: Poker...

i had a set of 1500 fully weighted chips with 6 dice and 2 packs of cards in an aluminium case from the catalogue clearence store i paid £25 and they are very very very nice chips but i agree with dt you prob wont need anywhere near that many, might be worth checking out your local catalogue shop or those home bargain places sometimes have them too.

Re: Poker...

Have started to play a little with friends and one of them has a 500 set which is just about for 8 players.. and all you get is around 590 worth of chips.. so 1500 chips would be better especially if we might end up being more then 10, with 2 tables.. I will have a look at the catalogue clearance store.. hopefully they might have some there when I pop in!

Have marked down your ebay listing Detox, thanks!

Cheers
