It doesn't for some reason. We had this big confusion at work as to where this promo voucher had come from and why it was on the receipt, but I called marketing and it's definitely correct.

and the consumer (i.e. me) will only find this out after we buy the printer or can we find this out before we actually buy it?

I mean, if we use the "buy it now" machines, will it show as £39.99 or £19.99 before we commit to buy?

I'm not urgently needing a new printer but if it's only £19.99, I could be tempted to "break" the old one just so I have to buy another one, if you know what I mean

You would pay the £39.99 for the item and on the receipt once it prints you get a voucher for £20 which you can use on your next purchase. So you could buy the ink packs using the voucher and get the entire package of printer + ink for £40.

iPhone4Matt will become famous soon enough
You say once the receipt prints, does that mean we have to buy the printer in store? Or can we still get it online and get the £20 voucher. If you know. Cheers

I'm afraid I'm not sure about online purchases. Guessing it would be emailed to your inbox as I can't see it being an instore offer only.
