Was just looking at their other offers: | Jean Patrique Offers

Seems almost too good to be true, or the RRPs are inflated?!

I really want to just go for it and buy them, but not sure!

Tempted by the 5piece or the 3 piece, not sure which!

Bugger it! Just ordered the 3 piece set for £8.98!

99p + £7.99 p+p

Not bad at all if they're as good as they say they are!

(Mixed reviews so hoping for the best!)

£7.99 postage? A little expensive isn't it?

Yea it is... but when the actual product is 99p it's kinda ok... I mean you wouldn't really find 3 decent sized stainless steal knives for under a tenner in Tesco!

DieselDragn will become famous soon enough
From reading the above linked MSE thread, I wouldn't advise it.

There's at least a few posts on there from people saying that after making their initial £8.98 worth of order, they've received the knives that they've ordered (Which don't sound nearly as good as the page would lead ye to believe anyway).
Then after a while, these customers have received duplicate orders which have been charged to their accounts, which Jean Patrique keep fobbing off as an "Internet sales error" and ask the buyer to return the item for a refund...With the buyer paying return P&P, of course!

According to This post, one poor person received duplicate orders at least three times and lost close to £100,- over the whole affair...So personally, I'd put this down to being a semi-legitimate looking twist on the old Duplicate order scam and advice people to stay away if they can...

I bought these, they sharpen well an I bought extra knives after and also the block, they do discolour if you dont wash up quick, so not quite as stainless as you might think!!

Got them yesterday! They look pretty decent, but time will tell.

I'm not expecting them to last forever, but I'm sure they'll last a while.

Could do with a bit more sharpening though.

I hope the knives are good but this thread reminds me of a great deal I once bought, it was a mountain bike which looked great but when I got it, it must have weighed half a ton and it had a sticker on the frame stating "Do not use off-road", it was a Bloody mountain bike for god sake. massive fail on my behalf that day

lol, yea be careful!!

Mine weren't too sharp, but a quick go on the wet stone and they were cutting like a dream!

As I've said, perfect for uni and if you look after them they'll last, if you dishwash them, don't clean them and don't sharpen them with a wet stone they'll die pretty quick... then I can just leave them at uni!
