) I think it's a Christmas deal, so it should be around for a bit, and there's always an offer with the Xbox, there was a similar deal when MW2 came out and for about 6 months there's been this deal on the Elite and the same deal on the Arcade but with only 1 free game.

That was my thoughts as well. Buy it at a big discount, sell on the games and wireless pack now (or maybe get the post christmas "I got an xbox and some money" ebayers) then possibly sell on the console at a later date when I'm done with it.

Can I justify £140 though! Still need to buy Theatre tickets for my girlfriends birthday in Feb! (And I kinda bought JLS tickets the other day as a bit of an investment!) Too much money going out!

Anyway, I was gunna say this could be the perfect opportunity for an awsome competition. One that people have to sign up to your ref link for so you can pay off the xbox cost, get some site publicity and maybe make a little profit.

I seem to remember hearing somewhere that members who have tried to run competitions requiring sign ups to enter failed miserably

EDIT: That's the reason Furb's comps are so successful - they're free to enter, and get his site publicity through either the twitter competition or general advertising for the competition. In the short term, he'll lost money, but in the long term it would most likely be beneficial

Probably me! I've had 50 to 100 competition entries... i.e. they've answered the simple question... but not 1 has completed an offer (the 2nd part of the competition) Sucks!

It probably would have been a more difficult decision for me had I not recently been paid for some work I did. But since I got that money and believe I could make back at least £60 selling the games and wireless pack I decided to go for it.

Thinking about it, if I do manage to make that from selling the games it would mean the xbox would cost me about the same as my "free" PS3 since I traded my way to it's required number of greens
