Just seen a tv advert for Netflix... If FJ and Kudos could get them as an affiliate I reckon it would be very popular right now!

(although I've noticed every offer we get that's had a tv advert has now gone... Lovefilm, intuit, 1&1 (for a bit) etc... Don't wanna jinx Netflix!)

Apparently Lovefilm streaming is awful. Netflix generally preferred it seems amongst most. Not sure if Lovefilm have a larger catalogue though which is advantageous if so.

If we can get it as a free trial on the networks it could be a good thing and put some interest back into the UK scene at least.

Can't we get it for USA to start with and then open UK when it arrives ?

You talk about getting interest back in the UK scene by getting a "free trial", but wasn't it the abuse of the free trial to get greens that made love-film pull it in the first place? I thought using free trials to get greens was something exceem disapproved of? Just a thoguht. BTW what is quidco?

Man you've totally misunderstood the free trial thing on exceem!

You CAN tell people that there are Free trials available but the choice has to be theirs and their intention cannot be to simply sign up to a free trial and cancel in order to get a green.

Yes LOVEFiLM left because of high fraud and low conversions, it's just wasn't cost effective for them. Perhaps with a different provider and new, stricter checks (which are now in place) Netflix may do well. Plus it a good platform to get a load of new uk customers! Everyone's up for trying the new service... Why not give them a free gift at the same time!

@FJ/Kudos - do whatever you did to get the LF Trial in the first place! Also, now all the new security checks are in place is it not worth going back to LF and asking if they can give us the Free Trial back pretty please?!!

I'm in touch with the affiliate manager and they're hoping to launch by end Q1. No guarantees we'll be accepted though. We're not going to get the LF free trial back, they don't want to know unfortunately. Even offering a rate cut hasn't helped.

I think I understand. As long as people who sign up for free trials actually use the service a bit and don't just cancel right away after sign up?
But what exactly do you mean by fraud of the LF order. Was it multiple account mirror IPs abusing it that got it pulled?

One more thing I have definitely been on freebie gateway sites [to FJ's] from an exceem signature which showed people [in the "how to" section] how to use a betting offer to get it "free" [i.e. by betting last minute in a game certain to win the match] that sort of thing is not allowed right?
