Microsoft have Office 2010 Beta to download, and can be used until the end of October 2010.

Microsoft Office 2010 Beta Professional Plus - Free Download

Obviously with beta software its a case of understanding any risks involved etc (i.e security holes/bugs/etc)

I've been using this for a few months now, and it has completely replaced Office 2007 for me. There have been no problems at all (as far as I'm aware), and I think it's an excellent download

nah its far too complicated. i think this is yet another example of microsoft fixing something that wasnt broken (office 2003)

I think I'll stick with 2003, though I bet the 2010 one will look much more snazzy-ful

So at the end of October, do you just have to reinstall your previous version if you don't buy 2010?

I didn't have to uninstall the previous version. I have been running 2010 and 2007 side by side with no problems.
