cus its all rubbish. thunderbird is better than outlook, firefox is better than IE and the list goes on and on.

also WMP classic was good but the new(ish) one is unneccessarily resource-draining. there's no needfor such a big program just to play media files. VLC is much less demanding on your PC.

and as i said the list goes on...

I disagree that its all rubbish, these O/S's, applications etc are very complex pieces of software to engineer. So I don't really think they are rubbish. I agree that Firefox is better than IE but even now I am starting to see problems with FF.

I used Thunderbird for while and I found it shocking, Outlook is way better.

i admit, there are a lot more bugs noticeable in Windows than in O/S such as Linux and OSX, but that is because Windows is used by so many more people in so many more different ways.

As a person who supports Microsoft Products every day, I have to take my hat off to them, and the ingenuity they provide. And if they really were that rubbish then surely they wouldnt be as popular as they are.

i totally appreciate how complex they are but i just hate them all. and you havent answered why WMP is so unncessarily draining on resources?

but i think the reason they are so popular, with the exception of office, is because they come as standard on every PC and a lot of people don't know about the better alternatives.

as for the O/S i have nothing bad to say about them, but then again there are far less WYSIWYG alternatives
