![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Does "Mobile Broadband available to Pay As You Go customers who convert a Top-up to a Broadband Add-on (Add-on valid for 30 days from activation). See three.co.uk" mean you're tied into some sort of contract?

| Mini Mac | No no. Three works differently from other mobile networks. Top up's last for 30 days and you can top up as often as you want. If you don't use the credit in that month then you lose it. Well thats how it was when I had a 3 phone years ago. It's basically a payg service that has a 30 day limit on the top up

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | That's what 3 was like when i had one of those crappy NEC flip phones years ago! With network competition like it is these days, i thought they'd have dropped the 30day thing by now.

![]() | Still 3 PAYG is ****e, I only use it because I can't be bothered to transfer my number over to a different provider, and I've had it for over 5years so I'm top of their priority list of deals and etc The rates for texting and calling are just horrible for PAYG. Best has to be ASDA sim, in terms of rates; * 8p per minute * 4p per text * Same low cost to any UK mobile or standard fixed line phone, anytime * 20p per MB to surf the internet * 20p per minute to call any other country from the UK |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | I'm confused as to how these work...do you just pay a monthly fee to the network provider? Is there a way of paying for the net with a different provider, even if you don't use them for your mobile? I'm wondering whether to get one of these now, and just keep it aside in case it is of use. hmm... Cheers. |

| Mini Mac | It's just like popping a PAYG sim card into the dongle and topping it up as if it was a mobile phone. You can get them unlocked by using a program I believe and it allows you to use any network provider. I'm still trying to track it down though.

![]() | I still don't understand why people use these when you can just use your phone? I connect to mine from my Macbook and off I go with 3G loveliness!
