Not sure if it's everyone who has a silver account or if you need to sign up to the Xbox live mailing list.

This is as much information as I've gathered so far.

no need to sign up for anything.
as long as your connected online with your xbox, you will automatically have xbox live Gold for the above dates only.

its a shame for the people that do already have Gold, we should have our subscription extened automatically to cater for the above dates.

i see ur point and perhaps we should, but if u have a year subscription what good is 3 or 4 extra days?

Its a good move by XBL to try and get more people to sign up to gold. Obviously the hope is people who hadn't already get a taste of online play and decide they like it enough to then buy a sub.

No need to offer it to us lot because we are already paying!
