Harry Potter Books 1-7 for £6.99

Seems to be another misprice but worth a go to see if you get it. All 7 hardback books for £6.99 at Waterstones. Supposedly worth £120. Not my thing but it might make a good Christmas pressie.

going by Waterstones.com: Children's: Harry Potter Hardback Boxed Set by J.K. Rowling (2007) I would say 99% that they got a . in the wrong place.

I got the same email.. question is, if the do get the "JK ROWLING Harry Potter Special Edition B" will it still be for the same price at £6.99 or can they just charge you for whatever the price they will set it to?

Cheers
Tom

PS Lee, if Waterstones get their request fulfilled and I get the books for the above price I'll have you in mind so you can get a copy for your little boy! (Since I ordered 2 I mean!)

Just got this email from them..

Quote:
Dear customer

I am writing to apologise for a significant pricing error that appeared on
the Waterstones.com website in the past couple of days and that has
affected the order that you recently placed.

The error concerned was on the Harry Potter Boxed Set, ISBN 9780747593683,
which should be priced at an RRP of £185. For reasons that we are
currently investigating, the RRP displayed on our website was changed to
£6.99. This is clearly a mistake that we have identified only this
morning. As soon as it was identified, we removed the product from our
site.

I regret that we will be unable to fulfil the order at the price of £6.99
and will therefore have to cancel your order. Please be assured that we
have taken no payment from your account.

Should you still wish to purchase the product at the correct price, please
contact us at 0800 328 5723 and we will reinstate your order for you with a
discount of 10% off RRP.

I hope that this does create too much disappointment or inconvenience for
you.

Once again, my sincere apologies for this.

Yours faithfully
As we thought it was a pricing error! (well, I did anyway, but it was worth a try! )

Cheers
Tom

Under UK rules, they are obliged to sell it to you at that price as they had it advertised at that price. You should complain.

They are not obliged to sell it to you at the price advertised on the website, they will have appropriate lines in their t+C/disclaimer to allow for such errors.

This is up for £65.00 now in case anybody's interested. Not quite the bargain £6.99, but still a big saving on the £185.
