My Uncle, however, used it recently and said it worked a charm....

Oh well, I might ring them and see if I can use it, don't have much to lose. In any case, they are doing a '3-month for the price of one' offer at the moment, so I guess I could use that as it was a very good service I must admit.

I used a code from HUKD and have reactivated my account with another 3 months free trail. I just canceled my last 3 months free trial about a week ago so I am getting 5 months free

So jazzy, I take it that means you're not obliged to continue the service after the trial is up? Not that it matters for me as I can't get the thing to work anyway!

I think so. I think you can then reactivate your account again for another 3 months for free

Whichever trials you do and however many you do you are under no obligation to continue. Even if you are paying you can cancel at any time.

Hi, I went through the thread but just wanted to double check, if you're currently going through a trial with LoveFilm, in order to get this extra 3 months you have to first cancel your contract after the current trial ends with them by ringing up and then after that's done you log in and reactivate again by using that promotional code? Is that correct? Thanks.

Well, finally got this to work, although it cost me £9. Guess that ain't the end of the world though, as the service in total would have cost me £45, it's just weird everyone apart from me has got it to work....

Well, as I've stated, I couldn't get the code to work normally, like everyone else. So I thought, I would email them, give them the code and say it isn't working for me, as I didn't have anything to lose. They manually reactivated it for me, which I was chuffed with, but I was still on my old membership tariff. So I emailed them again, remembering people on this thread had the chance to change their package on reactivation, and said I have not been given that opportunity to change, and could they manually change my package to a better one. they sadi they could, but I would have to incur the cost per month of the difference (3 quid x 3 months), hence the 9 pounds. Don't know why I had to pay the difference as everyone else can just change their package themselves without cost on reactivation, but I didn't want to push it as I wasn't even expecting it to be reactivated, and at least I get 36 pounds off what I would have paid for this package and can now receive games as well....
