A use for all the O2 SIMS everyone seems to grab everytime they come up You can get up to Â£50 but I only got a fiver - not bad for 2 mins work though.

Step 1
Get new sim card.

Step 2
Send an SMS from existing handset with existing SIM Card to 865555 with the Mobile Phone Number that came with your new SIM Card (e.g. 07999 123 456) as the message.

Step 3
O2 will send back a message confirming your upgrade and your free calltime credit amount.

Step 4
The calltime credit will be applied to your calltime balance in 14 days. The new SIM card and new mobile phone number will be disconnected.

Step 5
You can now use your new handset whilst retaining your existing number, calltime balance, Bolt Ons and any numbers stored on your SIM card.

Step 6
Once calltime credit has been applied, bin the new SIM Card

Only works with o2. You take an existing sim that you use and then on that one text the number of a brand new o2 sim. It works!

it just says my upgrade could not be confirmed, please call 5450. and then when i do it says if i'm calling from the hadset i wish to upgrade please press 1 if i'm calling from the handset i've upgraded to please press 2. what do i pick. or won't it work. these are quite old o2 sims that i had kicking around

oh wait it says i have to have been connected 14 days, i've only been using this sim for about 5

ok just did it on my sister's phone and she got a tenner, so awesome!!! thanks. how many time can you do it, I have like 30 o2 sim cards.

Yes I think you need to be with o2 for 9 months so that is why it might not be working for some ppl. My mate also got a tenner on his phone. Let me know if it works for you.

You need to be an existing O2 payg user ,and have a spare brand new free sim.

1.Get new sim card.

Basically its a loophole in the O2 payg upgrade system. Handy if you dont intend to upgrade in near future.

Might not work with everyone but i got 5pound free. Can go upto 50.

Does this change the package you're on? When I signed up I got 300 free texts, off peak calls, wap minutes all for Â£15 a month.

This doesnt exist any more, will doing this force me to use their newest schemes?

And I cant belive it worked again... You just need another new sim card to do it.!!
