Table Tennis

Anyone watching this?! Its absolutely insane.. They play so fast! And the way they serve looks ridiculous! Scoring system's different to how I remember it as well..

Whats different in the scoring? You score on every point and serve in blocks of 5 dont you?

My mate used to represent Isle of Man at Table tennis - he was rather good

That's what I thought it was, first to 21. Seems like badminton's nicked that one now. Its now first to 11 and serves are in blocks of two.

Thats strange they changed it

I used to play badminton and you could only score on your serve, they changed that so if you win a point on the other serve you get the point and service over to you

That seems better but I prefer the old table tennis scoring

yeah exactly. when me and my mates play badminton we still use that scoring system, with first to 15. table tennis should still be serves in groups of 5, first to 21 in my opinion.

I thought they'd changed the badminton.

We used to get table tennis in PE at school. The only thing is no one actually told us how to play, it was just to give those who didn't want to wait till they got their shot on the trampoline something to do. Wish we'd actually played it properly now though, would have been good exercise.
