1 game all then a superb and tense last game, GB were down 12-17 then they went on to beat china 21-16!!!!!

anyone else see it?

I'm not into sport so I don't know how the scoring system works with Badmington but I am confused.

If China were winning at one point with 17 points, how did they finish the game with 16?

My understanding is, first team over 20 wins, if its 20-19 then there must be a 2 point difference before the game is won.

Exactly. If the score is 20-20, it becomes first to 22. If the score is 21-21 then its first to 23 etc etc..

Is there a limit when they play to, to have some form of sudden death, or is it untill theres a 2 point lead

I think it would go on until 2 clear points are achieved, no matter how long it takes! Its similar to tennis. If its the final set in a match, there isn't a tiebreak, its just whoever wins by 2 clear games. There was one at Wimbledon last year that lasted about 5 hours because the final set was something like 19-17!

It's up to a maximum of 30 points. So if it gets that far, a team will win 30-29.
