DO NOT sign up to Offercentric sites

I wish I had read the threads for Offercentric before I joined them. I thought I'd join some of the Offercentric sites (MP3payers4Free, Gaming4Free, Notebooks4Free) as they have mobile phone offers. In the past I have found that there is usually a quick sign up to referrals ratio when I have used sites that have mobile phone offers (like the ringtone offers). Anyway....I did the ringtone offer. It states that I should get credit within 2 business days. I havnt been credited yet and it has been over a month! I have sent them many support tickets and each one has been totally ignored. I also got loads of referrals prior to completing an offer myself. I hate to think how many people also signed up to the ringtone offers (from my referral link) only to find out that they will never get credited (it also makes me wonder how close I was to getting a free gift). I know that Offercentric are not Exceem supported but I never thought that the site would rip me off as it looks so professional and they have loads of offers, making me beleive that they must be decent.

Anyway here is a warning to all of you (along with Tariomasters thread) NOT TO JOIN OFFERCENTRIC SITES. Giftmonkey is also owned by Offercentric and they also have the same offers so stay away from them too!

I hope Freepay are back soon (as they are still 'under construction'). They had good offers.

I second this. I almost signed up to notebooks4free, but a little reasearch changed my mind. The offer i was going to have to complete/refer people to (only one offer to choose!) was a total lie. It was a hosting service, and on the notebooks4free page it said it cost 5$. After talking to a salesperson of the hosting company, i found out it would actually cost ~ $50! Total ripoff. Don't sign up to them!

Or at least research a questionable site before signing up. Google the site name along with "scam", people are much more likely to post that they got scammed by something than if it was succesfull.

Yes good idea to do the google scam search.

Dont you find it really hard getting referrals (and getting them to complete offers) on FJ? I also like FJ however it has proved the hardest for me to complete. People want cheap and easy offers (thats what I have found from my previous endevours!).

I haven't tried FJ yet, actually i am on a non-eXceem site because of the low required referrals, but i have found plenty of proof.

I'm not sure, my offer was a no - obligation Video Professor free trial, but i can look it up. Just a second.

No, i don't see any cellphone offers, but there's plenty of free trials.

Does anyone know if Offercentric is still bad news? I signed up to one of their sites completed an offer and received credit for it.

I signed up, but then I searched around, and what they do is each sign up/referral under your link signs up, they decrease the amount of offers, till there's one last offer, that's like $7, and nobody wants to do that, meaning, you never get your gift, the company gets paid, and your referrals can't get anything either.
Note: OfferCentric USED to be real.
Then they turned scam. That's why all the proof pictures have outdated images! I was pretty furious. ( aka, ) and so I sent them a support ticket asking if this was happening. Nothing.
I'm out of offercentric.

Hello Chops1,

I think you were very lucky to get a credit from Offercentric. I still havn't got my credit even though I completed the offer at the beginning of August. I raised numerous support tickets and I never got a reply either. After reading your post I decided to check and see if I have been credited, but nothing! I would still advise to stay away from this network.

By the way I am still having no luck with FJ. Anyone have any news about if and when Freepay will be in action? I know they were slow but they always paid and the offers were simple.

Why no luck with FJ? The only offers freepay had that we don't were ringtone offers. I'd have thought the 19 pages of surveys before you actually got into their site would put referrals off. From what I hear freepay have closed down although this is not confirmed, just something that was said to me by an ad network.

For some reason people were not put off by the surveys. You could always keep pressing "skip". Yes it did take up a few extra minutes but it didn't matter about these minutes as the rewards were higher than the boredom of the surveys.

The ringtone offers were really popular, simple and cheap. I would say that for every 10 sign ups I got from Freepay at least 3 would go green. I even managed to complete the requirements to get an iPod Touch in two weeks. I have been on FJ since January and I have not got one green yet.

I think the freebie hunters are now getting used to seeing the FJ sites popping up on everyones website that they are now ignoring them and thinking "oh its another FJ referral".

I had better luck with Points FJ, but this is not international and you have to rely on UK users. I think I had better luck because it had ringtone offers. PLEASE MAKE the POINTS SITE INTERNATIONAL.

scratching my head at most of that post.

people were put off with the surveys. People on here posted about the ratios going down when they started the surveys.

ringtone offers were easy but also easy to cheat on, which is why freepay was so popular and possibly why they closed as it didnt pay enough.

sign ups to FJ show no sign of slowing down, not for me anyway.

If you arent getting any FJ sign ups, thats hardly FJ's fault.

To take your first point, part of the reason they were so popular was because a large majority of people would use a free sim card to complete them. This is fraud and put at least one ringtone company out of business (not saying it was freepay's fault btw, there was another less than reputable freebie site who actively promoted the fraud)

Secondly I don't think that's quite accurate, some people are still getting a very nice flow of greens. In fact a thread the other day was saying ratios have never been better/

The points site going international really isn't that simple, there just aren't the offers available. It is possible we could expand to cover the US as well but worldwide coverage is nigh on impossible.

I am not acusing FJ for me not getting any sign ups. I am just mentioning that it is harder to get greens on FJ than it was on Freepay.

For some people. Didn't wanna start a row, was just interested in why you found Freepay easier.

Thanks for replying. It would be good if you could expand to cover the US (how about Canada?).
