How can i associate my debit card to a paypal account and pay an offer ?

Hello everyboy ,
I have a question that i can resolve, it's simple:

I cant associate my debit card to an paypal account, beacuse when i want to pay something it says that i have to insert a code number with 3 digits, in my case. Beacuse i have a VISA ELECTRON, and the security code is 3 digits in back of card and the last 3 on the right, but the internacional cards like MC (master card) the numbers are in the front and are 4, i think.

Someone could help me please associating the debit card on paypal to pay the offers on freebiejeebies

THANKS PEOPLE

You on about the cvv2 number? It should be on the back and should be last three numbers.

I don't think this is CCV. If you choose to verify an account on PayPal, they will take 1p out of your bank account and part of the payment reference is a three digit number.

Once verified, they pay the 1p back.

My mum has a Visa Electron debit card and it does have the 3 numbers on the back.

I think all debit cards have a CVV2 number on the back (I haven't got one that doesn't anyway). The only one's I've ever seen that don't are the prepaid ones that aren't allowed anyway.

Verifying a card with PayPal has nothing to do with CVV though, as I said above.

most of the time it would be a bank payment from paypal. then you have to enter the amounts they gave you to verify your bank account. for the cards, only certain cards can be used and visa electron may not be accepted.

i had a electron card and i went to my bank and they gave me a visa debit card cause i wanted one. maybe do that and see if it helps.

ALL bank cards have a CVV2 number on the back of the card, top of the signature strip. This number normally consists of your account number or the last 4 digits of it, followed by a space then a 3 digit security code ... this is what you need! (see below)

This number is used by the merchant to verify that the actual card is present for the transaction.

The only cards which DO NOT have these numbers on the back are AMEX cards, who have a 4 digit code on the front of the card instead.

However if you are talking about the "security deposits" then you need to wait a couple of days and pay-pal will have made 2 small deposits (under £1 each) in your bank account, you need to type these values into the boxed provided as proof that its your account.

- AMEX CCV2 Location

- Other Merchant card CCV2 Location (eg. Maestro, cirrus, master-card, visa etc.)

sorry if the pictures are bad its 3am and google images isn't playing ball today!

If you have a visa then i'm pretty sure you will have a cvv2 number on the back of the card, try looking a little harder or asking your parents or something
