Screenclick fee?

Hi all,

Im new to the freebie scene and have just comleted one of the offers available here in Ireland. Its the Screenclick offer which i assume is the Irish alternative to lovefilm.
The offer, as you all know, is for a 2 wk trial with no €0.00 fee but when I checked my credit card there was a €2.00 charge.
Am i missing something here?

Not that the cost bothers me but the fact that the original statement said it would cost nothing. Slightly misleading if you ask me.

Has anyone encountered this and/or extra fees?

Thanks

Tommy

How many DVDs did you rent out? It may be a free trial but if you rent more DVDs than the allowed limit then you may be charged.

I wonder if Screenclick have asked for a small payment just to verify your credit card like many companies do, and then they repay it back once it has been authorised.

This is what I had in mind n im sure its the case.
As for the limit on dvds- its only 1/wk which is part of the trial deal anyway. You only need to rent n return 2 over the course of 2 wks n you have completed the offer. Correct me if im wrong.

wexico, for that offer what happens when the trial period is over? Are you free to leave or do you have to stay on as a paying customer for a period of time?

Part of the terms and conditions of freebiejeebies mean people cant talk about cancelling offers - but the text under each offer will tell you if its free and if its a 2 week trial offer then your only obligation is the 2 weeks

ok sorry about that!! and thanks for the reply. Are there any dangerous or risky ones or ones to steer clear of? Would that screenclick/ lovefilm be regarded as the best available right now? Thanks a million
