Easy DVD - Quick help

Okay guys, I'm in line to get my first green ( ) but I'm taking nothing for granted. Not yet. The guy has signed under me and has said he's now registered with Easy DVD but he think's he's experiencing a problem. His exact words are:

Hey man i've signed up through your thing, and completed a form dor easydvd or summink, and it says that i stll have to complete a registration or whatever. What happens? Have i done something wrong?

And I responded with:

Double check that you've completed all requirements by EasyDVD, such as having selected the DVD you want to rent or something.

If you have, give it a short while for Easy DVD to credit your offer.

Keep me posted on the situation mate.

Does the situation sound right? Did I say the right thing? Is there any more help I can give him?

Sorry if I'm being a whiny n00b but there's every need to be! I need expert opinions! I could get a green!!

If he has to complete a registration with Easy DVD then maybe he needs to put his card details in, or pay for the DVD's, or click a verification link that they may have sent him, or put some DVD's in his basket.

He doesn't say who he needs to finish registering with but i am assuming it is Easy DVD rather than the freebie site. In which case he should log and see what it says he needs to do.

Okay, he's replied with this:

Hi mate. Erm i think i did do it fully, but how does the giveaway site knw i have? it says something will be credited in 5 days but im not sure what! im so confused! have you got urs yet?

So I just basically told him he probably just has to sit it out for a day or 2 until his offer status changes. I also told him I was the same at first with not knowing if Giveaway would know or not and that he can start with his referrals in advance.

Is there any other advice I should give him?

I wouldn't expect him to go green until he has received a DVD even if he has successfully completed the registration process.

just an additional note... as far as i know on EasyCinema you don't have to receive a DVD to be put as green... since you have to pay upfront anyway, simply paying is sufficient

Yeah you're right, i keep forgetting it is a paying offer unlike Lovefilm, Blockbuster etc.
