LoveFilm & EasyCinema problem

Hi Guys,

I have had a problem recently.
I completed EasyCinema on 360Giveaway and am still a member.
Yesterday I tried to complete the LoveFilm offer on PS3Giveaway and after entering payment details i got a screen saying you are already a member of a LoveFilm company (or something) and i dont get a trial, I do have the option to start paying for and recieving DVD's.

Why don't i get a trial period?
If I join, will i get credit?

the fact that youre a member on EasyCinema should not effect your status on LoveFilm, did you used to be a member of ScreenSelect, Tesco DVD Rental, or any other online rental services?

I didn't think the two offers clashed.

I have never been a member of any connected company.

I might contact them (lovefilm) and ask. Just wanted to make sure it wasnt something obvious.

well ive completed both, and not been put on hold on either of the sites ive used them with....

maybe someone else at your adress used to be a member?

I think they are obviously connected in some way because all the dvd's i get from EasyCinema have got LoveFilm plastered all over them!

Anyway I have asked them to explain, so I shall keep you posted.

As far as i am aware from different posts they are the same company, but you can do both offers as they are managed differently?

Wrong, they are two different companies. Easycinema are part of the Easy group of companies. They use Lovefilm to send out the DVD's in the same way that you might buy Electricity from one company but it is still supplied by another. I have done both offers and recieved two gifts after completing both sites.

Well i'll add my two pence worth

I wanted to do EasyCinema on Xpango but had done LoveFilm elsewhere. I messaged Xpango and they said that wasn't a problem and a lot of customers do both and get credit for both.

So at least on Xpango this is isn't a problem though obviously that doesn't necessarily mean anything with other sites.

Plus on first look i think you get credits with EasyCinema at Xpango EVERY time you order DVD's which is good if true, but i need to read the small print to clarify that.

A friend of mine had the same problem but got it resolved after some dialogue with customer services.

From what I gather, you don't have a problem if you take LOVEFiLM first followed by EasyCinema, presumably because you are paying for the latter of the two.

I've done both and had greens from both - lovefilm on 360 which i did first and then last month easyDVD on Wii Giveaway and no problems so far

Same here. I think my friends problem was that he took EasyCinema first and then the free trial with LOVEFiLM after that.

I got a reply for my query and it seems the two offers are definately linked, as suggested above.
Just to clarify I am an EasyCinema customer and was refused a trial with LoveFilm, i asked why and this is what they said:

I have been told by Jamie that you are only eligible for a free trial with LOVEFiLM if you have not already had a free trial with either LOVEFiLM or another company powered by LOVEFiLM. Easy do not do a free trial, you have to become a paying member from the outset, and as such you should be fully entitled to a free trial with LOVEFiLM. I have had this confirmed by Jamie.

I am not sure why you are having an issue receiving a free trial if you have only used EasyDVD in the past. As others have said they have managed to do both just fine. I can only assume something has changed recently either by mistake or without Jamie's knowledge. I will enquire and let you know.
