I got this e-mail today, made me well happy!

Dear affiliate,


In response to feedback from LOVEFiLM affiliates regarding
high-levels or reversals we have implemented a new and
hopefully much improved process for validating leads. In
summary, as of today leads have been changed to have a
pending status, with LOVEFiLM validating leads on a Monday
for the previous week. Affiliates offering credits,
cashback or gifts should change their Ts and Cs to state
that this will happen within a maximum of 14 days,
although for the vast majority will be confirmed one way
or another within 7 days.


As you will be aware, the LOVEFiLM program pays out on
leads that come through with a TradeDoubler promotion code
embedded in the tracking link, where the user has taken up
the Free trial offer. In order for the user to experience
the LOVEFiLM service, that user must receive a disc. This
is the trade-off for a fantastic end user offer whereby a
consumer is entitled to free DVD rentals with no-
commitments.


Currently on a monthly basis we are reversing leads
generated by the affiliate if:


The user has cancelled their trial before receiving their
disc ? referred to as 'zero allocation'.
The user has previously has trialed the LOVEFiLM service
or another service owned and operated by LOVEFiLM
International. This includes the old former ScreenSelect
service as well as Tesco DVD rental, and other co-branded
services.

The user was never authorized for a free trial, either
because the details they provided were incorrect or the
bank has not authorized their card. In most cases this is
checked in real time and the pixel isn?t activated.
The user has signed up with a duplicate offer ? therefore
the TD code has not been reported in the tracking link
An example might be that an incentive site refers the
LOVEFiLM offer, but the user sees another online link a
few days later and goes through that link to sign up. That
user might still believe that they have signed up through
the incentive site, but it is the last reported tracking
link code which is awarded the sale.


We recognize that for a number of affiliates, the
reversals on the LOVEFiLM program has been a frustrating
process, especially as you may have a reward based site
where you need to allocate a commission or prize to your
customers. Currently in the system the leads are reported
as approved until we run the monthly report and deny any
unqualified sales.

From your feedback we understand that this is too long to
wait, and that the approval process is confusing. We have
therefore decided to change the process to improve the
program and make it easier for affiliates to understand.


So from today all leads will be reported in the system
with the status 'pending' which means they have neither
been approved or denied, but it is acknowledged that a
lead has been reported in the system. At the end of that
week the sales pending will then be denied or approved in
the system so that you can start feeding back to your
website users any incentive based information, and non
incentive users can gauge their performance on a more
accurate level.


Note that in some cases where a user has joined at the
weekend, some pending sales may not be approved until the
next week, which is why we have allowed for 14 days
approval.


For any incentive/reward/referrals and loyalty sites, we
urge you to change your terms and conditions immediately
to reflect this change, so that your customers are aware
they will have a 14 day maximum approval time and that
they must qualify under the terms above in order to
receive credit. As always, LOVEFiLM are happy to look into
queries about inviduals who feel that they haven't
contravened any of the above terms.

Yeah that is good news. But i was reading it and the bit about not getting credit if you sign up to a site owned or operated by LOVFiLM worries me. I am currently attempting to get a gift on Xpango without any referrals as such but one of the offers i was going to do was for EasyCinema which is "powered" by LOVEFiLM. I have emailed Xpango to see if me having done LOVEFiLM excludes me from EasyCinema but have had no reply yet. Does anyone know what the likely reply will be?

You can get up 10 credits with that offer on Xpango (but it will cost you about £20) so i would be well annoyed if i couldn't do it.

Well it's common knowledge (and has been talked about a lot) not to do the dvd offers powered by the same people as Lovefilm. However Tab confirmed on Giveaway that easycinema can be done as well as Lovefilm so maybe it's the same for Xpango.

Ah i haven't read it. Plus i did Lovefilm before i joined here. Probably wouldn't have if i had joined here first but anyway, i'm optimistic they'll say its OK.

I tried getting me dad to do both easy cinema and lovefilm but once he completed the easy cinema, he then tryd lovefilm but it said he already has an account which is crap.

Hi There

Just a quick one, I am currently verifying on PS3 giveaway, 75 yellows, 22 greens, 13 needed,

17 are lovefilm, 3 jackpot joy, 1 green flag. I started this on Thursday last week which is when i believe the rules were changed re reversals. Is there any chance with 22 greens and only 3 needed that i am going to get 9 reversals when my account gets verified at the end of the month. Cheers

No offence but you have asked the same question time after time. We (the average exceem member) have no idea whether or not your verification will go through or not. Only the people who signed up for you can tell you that.

Thanks for the reply, and whilst i totally appreciate that i am completely new to all this, what i meant was in peoples experience is it normal for that many confirmed orders to reverse or not? Rest assured im not asking someone to verify it just to give me an idea thats all cheers all.

If you got them within the last week you shouldn't have much to worry about as the next Lovefilm report will be for January I'd assume.
