AnyGift4Free Be Warned

Ok be warned this site is very strict me and sister (captain Cave) both signed up on different email addy's different computers and we live in seperate houses. In the T&C it states about AOL proxy servers (didn't know about this)

So I got 3 referals sis had 2, then I requested my gift $100 payal. Received a message I got put on HOLD and so did sis account. Waited 7 Days to be told we have multiple accounts. After 1hour and 30mins today talking to the owner on AIM. It turns out she knew we had both got the same IP addy when we 1st signed up. But allowed us to get 5 referals between us. Then put us on HOLD. Meaning she has made money from 7 referals we gave her. When she could have stopped it at the begining which was my sign up and sisters sign up as we did this at the same time for the same person.

Now some-one else has also got the same IP addy on one of the accounts (basically use AOL/or another proxy internet provider) but wouldn't tell us who. This means when this person goes to request their gift they will be placed on HOLD. So make sure any referals dont use proxy.

The owner will not contemplate taking you off HOLD so be WARNED.

Do Read her Terms and Conditions and follow it to the T. If you make a HUMAN ERROR she don't give a monkey.

Her arguement is very well covered in her T&C you sign the T&C as you sign up so you cannot argue your case as with us on HUMAN ERROR. So I wonder how many people she has put on HOLD after getting all there referals.

Re: AnyGift4Free Be Warned

that is a joke, its common knowedge that aol use proxies for all their members, and by this policy they are in effect banning any aol users from their sites

Re: AnyGift4Free Be Warned

Any network owner worth their salt would have at least checked the IP in $_SERVER['HTTP_REFERER'] against the one in $_SERVER['REMOTE_ADDR'] !!!
That's well outta order! ~ obviously doesn't know anything about the script she bought off the peg!

So no one on Cable & wireless, NTL, AOL, BT, Bulldog and 75% of all UK ISP's can take part on the website - madness... that's just like running a scam site (even if they have sent out a few gifts).

How many average joes know if there ISP uses a proxy! Not only that but you never know if someone else in a hundred mile radius using the same ISP has done an offer before you... or if someone 'might' do one after causing you to be put on hold!

Bloody hell hun that’s outrageous as Jon says technically they are banning every AOL member but to add they are clearly making profit.

Seems a bit suss to me on the honesty side of things! AOL users must be BONUS time for them!

They can as long as no one else signs up from the same proxy server they will then go on HOLD once they have requested their gift.

What makes it worse is that you don't find out until you request the gift, so you could have paid for the greens and then find out you will get nothing.

Re: AnyGift4Free Be Warned

And I am felling bad about this becasue both maze4ever and CaptainCave signed up for me and was were active getting their referrals really quickly.. but I am now going to put in my request for AnyGift4Five and see what happens.. since I am on NTL, it would be interesting if she will be putting me on hold also or not..

Re: AnyGift4Free Be Warned

No worries Tom we hope you get yours . I have 1 to get on there and she said it was all ok, so may try to request and see what she does. It would pay me and sis back the money we lost and we could then also get a prize for the Judo raffle.

Re: AnyGift4Free Be Warned

This is the clause in the T&C

(5) We do not allow using an AOL browser/proxy or any other proxy when signing up for Any Gift Network, as it may provide you with an IP address that is the same as other users', resulting in your account being placed on hold. Your account will not be taken off hold for violating this term.

I know how you feel Tom, me too! You two were my last 2 greens for digitalcameras.freepay. This is awful and I would strongly suggest emailling the site owner again and again and again until she finally caves in! Hope it all works out for you and I would gladly trade with either of you again.

Re: AnyGift4Free Be Warned

Sure feel free to quote: It only states AOL not any other ISPs.
You may get away with it.

Having used FSRS myself; solely using the yellow highlight feature in IP column of the fraud control panel to distinguish between fraudlent accounts is just plain lazy (you can quote me on that too).

Re: AnyGift4Free Be Warned

I've run out of ammo with regards to the trying to get it re-instated. I am just praying everyone else manages to get their accounts sorted. Mr Woo now has the transcript of my conversation with the owner, hopefully he can throw a few hint's my way.
